guess what,, the ref gave warnings before the fight. he gave warning during the fight, he took a point after 2 warnings.

That pic right there tells the entire story.

That's what Mayweather was doing on the inside. He was cleverly holding Hatton, making it look like Hatton was holding him. Funny stuff.

...this is bigger then Hatton/Mayweather...any inside fighter that isn't allowed to fight inside is going to loose...imagine Frazier not being able to break down Ali on the inside because the ref won't allow him to get close...Fraizer wouldn't have won the first time they met...after Ali figured out Fraizer and kept him out by himself is a whole different subject...

hitting and holding is illegal, you only supposed to clinch when necessary not to hit the other guy and just keep him from hitting you..

also that pic says a lot about Ricky, just like in that Cotto low blow pic people ignored the fact that Judah CLEARLY had his forearm weighing down Cotto's neck is the same way people ignored the fact that Hatton was once again clinching Floyd, Floyd just fought fire with a different kind of fire, Hatton bought the clinching and Floyd bought the elbows, both are dirty and neither are excused, that pic doesn't say nothing more about Floyd than it does about Hatton..

                      Yeah.

Ok there are cases where applicable. One would be if the fight went the distance and although close on the cards Floyd was given the nod. Another case where an excuse might work is an outside interference.

An example is Vernon Forrest, and his shoulder injury. A chimpanzee could tell you that Forrest with a healthy shoulder is by no means the same fighter as the one who was injured..........and his losses to Mayorga and struggles against a sub par guy were explainable.

Hatton getting knocked out clear as day, has no defense. Other than Hatton got caught by a boxing wizard on the way in. If people still can't believe that happened.......they're in denial.
