I was pointing to the fact that when they both were 16, am or pro, they were separated by 30 pounds. which is a lot.

And no Mayweather is not a real welterweight. Cotto at 140 was bigger than mayweather at 147. Hell, most 140ers weigh more than mayweather by fight night. No welter comes in at less than 150, Mayweather does.

Mayweather is a welterweight like Oscar is a middleweight.

Alot of people overlook this fact. Its such a bunch of crap when people say hes a natural 130 pounder, hes not. He was a kid when he started. He can't make 130 now. Hes at least a 140 pounder, possibly welterweight. All because hes short doesn't mean hes not a welterweight, theres been many fighters smaller than him who were welterweights. 140 is probably what he can do best.

the fact that he "struggled" to make 130 (note how he came in under 140 in his fights with Castillo), doesnt mean he is a welterweight now. There are two weight classes (and 17 pounds) in between.

In the past, Mayweather would have been a lightweight until 24-25, and then a pretty small welter, but definitely a welter. Leonard is bigger full stop. All the names you and others have been mentioning are bigger.

If Mayweather isn't a welterweight he sure if fulling all of use. Maybe he should cut off a leg and fight at what weight? 130, yeah he sure defended his 130 pound title 30 times.

He was at his best when at 130, so calling him a kid is bit off.

He can't make 130 anymore because he has built his body up to the point that on muscle alone he can't make 130. Most people cut fat, Mayweather would have to cut muscle and diet severely for a long time to get back to 130 because he would need to take his body apart from what he has built it up to be over the years to fight at higher weights.

He can most likely diminish weight training for 3 months and fight at 140.

And it's quite useless that you keep on taking 130 out, I never sad he could make 130 now.

If he could make 140 as you say he can, then the fight should have been at 140.
