Mayweather as a welterweight is simply not in the same league as Sugar Ray Leonard. I see the comparision as almost laughable and those picking Mayweather are doing so simply because they aren't familiar with Leonard's boxing record and who he fought! Mayweather would be in the top 10 as a welterweight in the late 70's but that's about it!!! Heck!! As I've said already he's not even the best welterweight today in a division which while talented is nowhere ar deep as it was in Sugar Ray's Reign
