I don't see anybody at welter giving Floyd any problems. Cotto would get picked apart, williams yea he has a huge work rate but I don't think he would throw that many punches against him because Floyd would be countering all night over that lazy jab.Imo Floyd would get his respect real quick. The only person I thought might give Floyd some problems was Mosley simply cuz he would almost be able to match speed, good countering ability, descent power, and a good set of whiskers but after the Cotto fight its clear to me that there is nobody at welter that can **** with the king! Maybe Winky or Vernon at jr. middle could knock him off but it would have to be a naturally bigger man w/ good defense to stop that straight right hand.

Calling people bums is just childish. I don't understand the simplistic lingo on this website and over generalizations as if there's no cline but architypes of bum vs. champ. It is high school. Also, as long as Mayweather is mentioned 10 years from now (which he will be), so will his opponents and for your info, SRL won belts at Super Middle Weight and Light Heavy but didn't fight the best there. Floyd positively fought the best at 130/135, Leonard at 147. You are holding them to a different standard because you're seeing it live.

In 20 years people will remember Gatti for having 3 Fight Of The Year awards
Zab for being the man at 140 and 147, destroying spinks in his hometown, etc.

Hatton for beating a legend at 140 in Kostya and beating Castillo as well as unifying the lightwelterweight division and then winning the welterweight title, two weight champion.

They might not remember Baldomir as the Cinderella man who upset the odds and got two big victories but they will remember Gatti for his fights and Hatton for his accomplishments, incase you did'nt know Hatton is a national hero in UK, and is a big draw.

You can't predict that they'd mention ANYBODY in 20 years from now who is at welter weight. There are no hall of famers at welter weight at all (except Shane maybe), so why is this important? If Floyd beat Cotto and Williams, and both lost another fight after, then no one would mention them either unless in association with Floyd. Also I think they would mention Gatti, I disagree with you there. Sort of like Ray Mancini.

Whatever.. I hate it when people don't answer my questions or respond accordingly. This is why I split up paragraphs, to get a clear understanding. Talking over people means that you don't listen and if you don't listen it means that you have more to learn. My points about Sugar Ray Leonard stand and it is my opinion that you hold Floyd to a higher standard.
