SHANE ISN'T FASTER THAN FLOYD WHERE IT COUNTS, ZAB EITHER, AND PAULIE LACKED THE POWER. SHANE DOESN'T HAVE THE TIMING OF FLOYD, NOR ZAB, NOR PAULIE. COTTO WOULD HOLD HIS HANDS UP HIGH I AGREE, BUT WOULD GET HIT WITH LEFT JABS AND LEAD RIGHT HANDS TO THE PIT OF HI SSTOMACH, FLOYD WOULD DUST COTTO. FLOYD WOULD BREAK COTTO'S BODY DOWN. SHANE MOSLEY HAS NEVER THREW SHARPER PUNCHES THEN FLOYD AT ANY POINT IN HIS CAREER, POINT BLANK PERIOD. FLOYD KNOWS WHERE TO BREAK YOU DOWN AT, AND KNOWS HOW TO LAND VERY WELL AND HE WOULD BE TOO ACCURATE FOR COTTO, AND WOULD CONTROL THE PACE OF THE FIGHT, COTTO OF COURSE HAS A PUNCHER'S CHANCE BUT AGAINST FLOYD, THAT PROVES ONLY THAT HE HAS A SMALL CHANCE OF BEATING HIM, MAINLY BECAUSE FLOYD IS TOO DYNAMIC AND METHODICAL A FIGHTER FOR COTTO.
nah you see Paulie only has 5 KO's in 24 fights with only 1 loss, now unless you some lucky dude you MUST have skills, Paulie fought some good guys and beat them and now he's facing Ngoudou, don't look so much at his opponents but the way he beats them, the skills he used and the heart he showed, I never said Shane nor Zab were more skilled and I only said they were faster overall not just specifically where it counts, just because you only faster where it counts doesn't mean you faster, thats like me saying that because Miguel Cotto is stronger than another guy ONLY where it counts that it means he's stronger, he ain't, he just knows when to use the LESSER strength he has to MORE of an advantage but he ain't stronger, you trying to over ride one of my points with something that doesn't hold up..

Shane and Zab are faster overall Floyd just mixes his speed with his skills, the difference in speed showed HIGHLY in the Judah fight and Floyd struck at the BEST possible times but in instances where they both threw hands you saw Judah firing more rapidly, no hate to Floyd but it's true and same with Shane, Shane has more explosive power and speed, he throws FAST flurries and uses his speed in combinations while Floyd uses his speed in bits and pieces of his arsenal, if he's throwing 1 punch he throws it FAST, if he's throwing a combo he throws it FAST, he is FAST in his own right but when it comes to SPEED as an attribute Judah and Mosley has more it's just Floyd uses the speed he has in better ways, makes him look faster but do your homework fam he ain't..

Cotto knows how to land TOO, Cotto holds his hands up high but what you think Cotto is just going to let Floyd hit him in his gut just like that? hell no fam he going to counter the **** out of him, Cotto knows how to cut the ring off VERY well, he knows how to corner and pummel you but what is more amazing is that he also knows how to Box you going both backwards and forward, he can do it all just like Floyd and his punches are power shots down to his Jab, he would jerk Mosley's head back with just 1 Jab and hurt Shane at times with his body punching and overall attack.. Floyd will be the slickest guy Cotto ever faced and the fight will be close but unarguable, Cotto will beat Floyd impressively over the course of 12 rounds and he will do it by stealing a lot of close rounds, he will land the shots that will win him over the close rounds, he will keep a pace and NOT fully charge Floyd, put Floyd in instances where he has to step out of his defensive shell into a somewhat offensive just to press the action because Cotto wont give him any easy openings for those pop shots he be doing, Cotto is another kind of smart, a smart that doesn't require too much flash he just needs quick hands, power and strong mental focus, he has all 3 and more, much respect to Floyd but IMO he will lose this fight.. 100

And Pavlik had the stones to actually do that, and he knocked Miranda out spectacularly.

Pavlik stystematically destroyed Jose Luis Zertuche, who is a tough ass fighter, and left him ruined when the fight was over. He also destroyed Zuniga, who is another talented boxer, by breaking down round by round.

Pavlik can do everything well, which is why he's close to crackin the top 10.
You've not seen that fight, Zuniga knocked Pavlik down in that fight, the fight was stopped cause of cuts not cause Pavlik was destroying him. It was a close fight and Zuniga though he was winning the fight.

I'm not going to read through all the posts since this is a big thread. I'm just going to say that there are 2 major differences between Hatton and Cotto.

          1) Cotto is a lot bigger

          2) Cotto has a jab, Hatton doesn't have a jab.

I would pick Cotto to beat Hatton. And for your information, I was NOT picking Hatton to beat Mayweather at all, nor would I pick Margarito to beat him. Cotto I believe would win against Mayweather though.

This would be huge, its the right fight, I see one fighter with a foot in the ring and the other one considering retirement. PBF has accomplished enough to retire with dignity in the eyes of most boxing critics, what I don't want to see is him taking on another has been or fighting someone else outta his weight class.

mayweather beats cotto no question in my mind, but i dono how easy it would be. i mean cotto is one strong ****ing pitbull and he would give mayweather some trouble. slightly more than hatton IMO, until the later rounds where mayweather will undoubtedly adapt and take over, much like in all his fights. so yes floyd beats cotto!! but IMO, i think it would be his toughest fight to date. i could be wrong though...

He would take that midget Cotto and mop the floor with him, EASILY, ticket sales and all that bull**** you're talking about have nothing to do with the fact Williams would beat him from pillar to post without breaking a sweat.
well alright! I see we can debate with class here. And Luciano, I never once disrespected you.....cool bro? Now, as you were saying, Cotto "ALMOST" lost. Well little brother..."ALMOST" Doesn't count. If it did, I wouldv'e won the Lottery since I "ALMOST" had all 6 numbers!

I hear what you're saying, but I was addressing your vague statement of Cotto being inferior to Williams. Dude, I like Williams, since he defeated Sharma Mitchell, read my past post Congratulating The Punisher on defeating Margarito.

It's cool that you feel Your FAV's can beat Cotto.....but beating Miguel Cotto with ease...c'mon now!!

I dont disagree to PBF beating Cotto..but I do disagree when people say it would be easy..I think it will be PBF toughest fight by far..I mean right now at 147 if anyone has a chance of beating PBF its Cotto..but I dont think Cotto can beat him just becuase PBF gets stronger as the fight goes on..while Cotto fades a little..But im sure it will be a hell of a fight.
