But he already knew to do that. Every Philly kid knows not to walk in the wrong neighborhood. Bringer knows that too. And it's not only race.
That's the truth. As much as I love Hopkins, he better stay away from those white neighborhoods in Philly. I can see him walking around Fish Town......

And no, taylor wouldn't beat Kessler but that's not saying Kessler is great, it's saying Taylor is ****, something that is public fact.

Stop being thick. I said it was a list that excluded little men. If you add the little men then everyone moves down of course, that's how Hop gets into the 20's.

But yes their size prevents me from taking them seriously as athletes. And you can't claim they have better skill. They get to fight a different game because it's not as dangerous.

I'm a white Hopkins fan and obviously I don't like what he said. I thought it was uncalled for. But the reason I'm still a fan is I don't think Hopkins hates white people. I think he says controversial things to get people talking. He worked with Freddie Roach, if he really hated whites I doubt he'd let a white man train him.

Exactly. To the other posters: This isn't hate on our part, Bringer and I have discussed the dangers of strolling through the wrong neighborhood on other occasions.

I can't have a discussion with someone who puts Hopkins in the lower 15, or god forbid 20. From Philly or not, I think you're bat**** from time to time with your hatred of Hopkins. But I still have the utmost respect for you my Philly brother.

Maybe it's just because I'm from Kensington that I don't take offense with what Hopkins said? Hell, I heard **** like that daily where I grew up. I thought then of it what I think now, trash talk at it's finest.

Precisely. If you're not from Philly, you just wouldn't understand. There are invisible lines throughout that City divided along various elements. If you cross over those lines, unwillingly or not, you may not make it back to tell about it.

I was very conscious as a child where I could and could not go. I think I had access to areas maybe other white kids didn't, because I lived in Kensington for so long and the people knew me. Same way they probably had access to places I didn't for the same reason.

I'm glad you point this out. Other posters may think his comments have affected my estimation of his boxing ability, which I never thought highly of.

Edit: I always thought his standing as a top fighter was undeserved. He was killed by Roy, would have been by Toney or Joe, and fed on little men.

Different parts, but the same City. Although one could argue that one side of Philly may as well have been another City in comparison to any other part.
