I didn't have him top 5 even before that.... he looked like he'd slipped ever since Joppy. Making a 2 foot Mexican take a dive and playing kiss-chase with a Guyanian makes you P4P No.1? WTF?

Top twenty, at best. You can't give him a pass for losing twice to a very mediocre fighter.

I agree with that, but the number of Hopkins' haters have doubled since he said that comment. Perhaps it was in bad taste, but it was certainly no worse than other things I've seen said in promotion for fights. Ali calling Frazier an "Uncle Tom" springs to mind.....

I'm just sick of little cheerleaders running around the boards, taking every word a fighter says apart, and making it into something more than it is. Hopkins is trying to sell the fight, like he's always done. That's why he disrespected Trinidad so badly in Puerto Rico, that's why he got fined $350,000 for shoving Wright's face earlier this year. It's just promotion.

But some of you guys are taking the **** way too seriously, and from what I gather, you're the same type of people who get pissed off when Mayweather openly talks of his greatness.

Fighters fight the fight, be it inside the ring or in the hype leading up to a good contest. And ever since Hopkins said he'd "never get beat by a white boy" towards Calzaghe, some of you are walking around with a tampon stuck up your ass.

It's as if you guys have all forgotten that's he's a 43 year old ex con from Philly, who might occasionally say some real **** from time to time. And this **** is coming from a white guy who lives in ******ia, originally from Philadelphia.

It's time to grow the **** up and quit hollering that this is a "racial" hatred of some sort, it's a fight promotion thing and nothing more.

I can't blame some of you though, the racial angle is practically all you have to ***** about on Hopkins'. At 43 years of age he's still considered a top 5 pound for pound fighter in the sport who's 4 losses have all been razor thin decisions that could've gone either way. There's nothing to hate on him for professionally because he's done everything right. Then again, so has Mayweather and you guys are still bitching about him too..........
I respect B-Hop and always have a hard time disagreeing with him. If you listen to the guys interviews you'll see how smart he is. B-Hop always speaks the truth. People need to understand that B-Hop does/Say crazy things when it comes to selling a fight. People forget that he even went as far as to throw the Puerto Rican Flag/ Throw Rice in Tito's face I mean c'mon! But did he intend to disrespect Pueto Rico?? NOOOOOO. Did he intend to disrespect white people when he said "I'll never lose to a white boy" NOOOOOO So get over it. Its called selling a fight and sometimes anything that would cause huge controversy works!!!

Right on some poeple act like boxers are the only ones who have the freedom of speech.
We may not know Hopkins or Floyd in real life but I know more about both of them then I do about some poeple that I see every day in real life.

Taylor is mediocre now? Because Pavlik just gave him his first loss? What happens if Taylor beats Pavlik in the rematch? And you're forgetting that Taylor went on a Hopkins/Hopkins/Wright/Ouma/Spinks winning streak. Also, you neglect the fact that Hopkins' 2 losses to Taylor were very controversial decisions.

One Question: Being beaten by a fighter who was knocked out senseless (i think you prefer this word) twice makes you a top5 fighter??
mhhh, Hopkins resume is so ****ing overrated and now he is even more overrated than years ago after the DLH-fight, which is very hard to believe. Calzaghe will expose him like he would have done 4 years ago when Hopkins made the chicken.

Taylor is ok, but Pavlik has to rank higher, and I don't rate Pavlik all that highly.

My top 15 from 130 up (so they are all lower if I add the midgets in) is:

                    Mayweather
                    Calzaghe
                    Pacquiao
                    Cotto
                    Kessler
                    Diaz
                    Hatton
                    Kessler
                    Pavlik
                    Klitschko
                    Taylor
                    Dawson
                    Wright
                    Hopkins
                    De La Hoya
