Good to hear. I also gained respect for Floyd, as he showed his true self. He was very respectful to Hatton, the fans(Even the booing UK fans) and everybody else. He has proven to be the best Boxer in the world, and can do whatever he wants now.

Head said Mayweather...and I was right.

Yep, he oozes class and was absolutely incredible.

My apologies to the real American fans on here on behalf of the twats that booed the American national anthem, they're an absolute disgrace.

First off, all congratulations are in order to Floyd Mayweather for putting on a great performance. I was more impressd by him tonight than I have been since he moved up from 130lbs.

The first thing I want to say is, shame on the posters here who are ****ting on Ricky Hatton. The kid went in there against a fighter who was clearly superior to him in every department and fought his ****ing heart out. Even though he lost, I think Hatton's aggression was the reason we saw the Mayweather that we saw tonight. Had Ricky tried to box him it would've been boring.

It takes balls to get in that ring, especially against a guy whom everybody knows is your superior. ****ting on Hatton is downright spiteful IMO. I understand you guys want to throw it back in the face of the Hatton loyals who've been ****ting on Mayweather for so long, but to me it seems you're ****ting on the fighter himself as well.

Secondly, I was impressed with Mayweather's personality after the fight. I never bought into his whole "bad guy" image but I've also never seen him more gracious and humble than tonight. Telling Ricky after the fight that he wanted to see him fight again and that the fans "****ing love you".

His personality always sparkles in post fight interviews but I think tonight it shined even brighter than before. Giving Larry Merchant his props for being a good interview and a "great person", he had me smiling in a way that Hatton had me smiling in the build up to the fight.

Third, even in defeat Hatton is a humble man and a consumate jokester. After the TKO, he said with a big smile on his face something along the lines of "what a ****ing fluke that was!".

Lastly, I've always been somewhat of a critic of Mayweather over the past several years, but there was never any doubt in my mind how good he was. Tonight he showed me that he is truly great, and I recognize him as such. These guys were made for each other IMO.

Tremendous amount of respect across the board to both fighters for putting on one hell of a show, and ending the tremendous year of 2007 for boxing on a high note.
                  Fight of The Year?!!!

                    Great performance by Floyd

He was stronger, faster, sharper and all around he was the better fighter.

Joe Cortez ******, wouldn't let them fight when the going got tough, but I thoroughly enjoyed it - even though I had a bunch of ****ing idiots standing next to me at the pub screaming "HATTON IS UNKNOCKOUTABLE! SEE HIM TAKE THAT JAB? WHAT A WARRIOR!"

But yeah, I was wrong about Floyd, he's earned my respect completely.

                    Enjoying this Dios Dominicana?

I bet you of all people are.
