cortez was breaking the action up to soon early in the fight and was a bit biased towards floyd but after about the 4th round it seemed to flow better and cortez started to let them get on with it. As far as i know its illegal to hit and hold so you cant moan about that a ref like mills lane would have disqulified hatton if he did that the whole fight.
I found the sky commentators annoying they kept going on about it the whole fight even when hatton was holding and hitting they still moaned about the ref.

In the early rounds Floyd was doing all of the holding and hitting. There was a definite bias in the refereeing and a definite bias in the judging that really left Hatton with no chance and that's a shame, because Floyd scored an important and meaningful victory last night and the officiating calls some of that into question.

I think you should post more though because of the picture in your sig.

Oh for sure he let them get on with it after the fourth but the first four were absolutely crucial to Hatton's game plan, he had to get good work done in the fourth to be able to slow Floyd down in the 9th onwards. Because he couldn't get it done in the first four he couldn't get it done in the last four.

Cortez broke Hattons momentum early on when he kept getting between them , I thought Billy Graham did Hatton no favours by pulling Cortez up before the fight when he came to give instructions.
No one likes being told how to do their job , this will have pissed him off and made him out to prove a point.

OH JESUS, do you know anything about boxing? Mayweather almost turned his back on Hatton to diffuse Hattons attack whilst he was charging in, if thats a point deduction I'm ****ing Angelina Jolie.

Thats where alot of people have failed to make the connection. They dont understand that by interfering with the fight early on, Joe Cortez allowed Mayweather to be in considerably better condition in the later rounds.

Floyd had more energy to burn, quicker feet under him, fast hands, and more power because of what Joe Cortez did in the early rounds. He prevent Ricky Hatton from draining his tank with a consistent body attack.
