Lol at the people complaining about Ricky Hatton's opponnet being the one dirty. People forget that he's more dirty then any of them. It's ok for him to do it, but not Mayweather?

I think Cortez shouldn't have been in the action as much as he was, but he still did a somewhat good job on warning both sides.

Cortez simply didn't let them fight for the first 4 rounds. He would immediately break them up. Cortez was deplorable. This was probably his retirement fight. A young up and coming ref would never have exposed himself to this kind of criticism because it can taint a career.

I don't know if Cortez was paid off. I lean towards the theory that he was on a mission to save American boxing from the Brits. He could justify that bull**** under the guise of patriotism. After all, in Britain Ricky has been allowed to basically do what he wants to win (the Tszyu fight was a virtual crime). Perhaps Hatton got what he deserved.

The bottom line is that Floyd probably didn't need Cortez' help (or the judges' for that matter). That's the ironic thing. Floyd looked great last night and he didn't "run."

A great night for Floyd. A bad night for boxing.

Now on to Cotto.....right?

I certainly hope he fights Cotto. He deserves a break though so I don't blame him for going on a vacation. Although, it shouldn't be a full year.

I just think Cortez could have done a better job, but wasn't as bad as people make him out to be. The one thing I found horrible was round 2 and him being in the way of the camera.

That's because he couldn't run. Hatton had that ring cut off. To both fighters credits though, Hatton did not clinch, and Mayweather actually fought in the later rounds so both broke away from their unfavorable tactics.
