I dont know. The histroy of America with slavery and lynching an all is different to the UK. So, Hopkins saying that he would never lose to a white guy, maybe should be read in that context. Also. Lets not forget, this could be all an attempt to drum up support and possible big cash from HBO for this fight. I'm sure Hopkins is looking at all the coverage of the Hatton-PBF fight and the money surrounding it and is playing his part in drumming up interest.

There is a special persecutions of black Americans and that is where the term originated and was used to tear down and tear apart black culture in America. What other race has been persecuted remotely as close as blacks in America? Your not American so u shouldn't be speaking like u have some great understanding of American culture and history.
