No Sir. We are not talking about world history here, nor any other race and it's persecutions. We are talking about the specific use of the term n.igger and the race it has impacted. You are trying to justify it by qualifying "white boy" as an equally offensive and oppressive term, and that is just not feasible.

you know what is funny is that it is my experience that europeans are more racist then americans and yet they are up in arms over all this. the british have been known for their open racism and yet a black guy says that he isnt going to lose to a white guy and everyone is offended, god please save it, there are more babies out in this world then i expected. double standards too.

i know friends who played soccer and had black guys on their team and traveled over to the UK and the they all got harassed but the black guys got it more, so what is the point, the point is everyone is making this out to be bigger then it really is and everyone is being a baby about is, the bottom line is that hopkins wants to get this fight signed and get calzaghe in the ring, and by the looks of it by any means necessary. he wants to get him before he takes on someone else, plain and simple...............

I know well what I'm saying: racism or discrimination is not something that any one people have been exclusively a victim of. Can a black person tell a *** or a Native American that they would never understand? Do you think "whiteboy" is a harmless word? To whom? To a white kid who grew up among black people? You're trying to make a special exception for black people, as if the word 'n.igger' had something special or unique about it. Horrible as the word may be, it is neither special or unique.

Yes, n-igg-er is a bad word, like "cracker". But Pavlik saying "I'll never lose to a Black fighter" is about on par with what Hopkins said.

What do you mean decipher black people? Don't you think there are black Scots and black English people as well? The problem here is pretty simple, some people put far too much stock into skin colour when it really doesn't matter worth a ****. Why should I feel any less outraged about the plight of black people than a black person themself? We are all made from the same stuff and have so much more in common than we have differ.

To any black person who feels a white person cannot understand them or their history and culture, I may not be able to persuade you otherwise but I will leave you with a great quote from a great man which may give you something to reflect upon.

Well I haven't heard or read the comments, but if people are going mad over the "white boy" remark then that's just grasping for straws.
