honestly, for his commercial appeal. kind of like the way Ana Kornikova became famous without actually winning many matches...............though Oscar DID win.

he has alot of losses because he took risks and faced difficult opposition. floyd fans have no notion of this logic.

Good but not Great. His personality got him were he is now, he has no right taking a year off then fighting the elite fighters who have been working there A off. Purists will hopefully agree with me.
Bull****, his personality was part of his superstar fame but the way he fought was a big part of his superstart status. Cause when it comes down to it, he is a boxer and performed for the crowd by going for the ko 99 percent of the time.

From my experience many Mexican fans warmed up to Oscar later in his career, e****ially with the Mosley, Hopkins, Mayorga and Mayweather fights.

I understand what your saying, but that's what separates people who actually keep up with boxing from the general public who just sees a win or loss. Are you saying that you actually hold Muhammad Ali's loss against Trevor Berbick against him............Surely not. He was a mere shell of himself

                  are we talking mexicans??or mexican-americans???

because like i said, boxing in mexico has been dead since chavez was no longer a force.....although it is gaining some fame back in this year...

of course not, but the fight did take place, it just means ali was not smart enough to know when to get out of the game.
