Mosley, Cotto and Williams will give Mayweather a harder fight than Hatton. Mosley got a version of the truth, Floyd got another. I don't care why the fight never took place, but reality is that MayWeather went for the money agaisnt ODLH. I respect that. We all go for the job with the biggest paycheck. What I did not like was the "retirement" instead of a fight with Mosley.now, all of sudden cotto is the best out there for him right, when last time i checked, shane was the one for floyd. then paul williams became the biggest threat for floyd. shane would garner floyd the most money, now cotto is the one. people on this forum flip flop more than john kerry.
Mosley showed agaisnt Cotto that he still got what it takes to be competitive and may beat MayWeather. A win over Mosley would had help Floyd to improve his image after his fight with Baldomir. Now after he beats Hatton, he still needs a better win. Hatton is by far the lesser opponent out there in at 147lbs.Comment

as far as the margarito bout, why would floyd fight him when he can fight a much bigger and harder fight with de la hoya, and maybe i shouldn't say harder fight seeing how floyd and tony haven't fought, but the money he made to fight oscar is ****** to turn down and oscar's name is bigger than tony who people don't know, and his style is no match really imo for floyd who would win decisively. then he goes for the wbc welterweight champion baldomir, which was very smart seeing how carlos was the top ranked welterweight at the time and beat two good fighters in judah and gatti. floyd knows where the money is just like any other big name like winky wright, hopkins, de la hoya, trinidad, jones jr, calzaghe, and pacman, etc. floyd gets criticized for fighting for the money when every big fighter goes for the big bucks. tiny margarito is not big bucks when it comes to fighting the wbc champ who is hot at the time in carlos, and even though floyd made the same amount he was offered for the fight with tony, carlos was hot in 2006 coming off of two good performances and being ranked the top of his division prior to mayweather. i don't see any ducking from floyd.
I disagree with the underlined. Baldomir was never the TOP RANK, well... maybe among bums. I am not a Margarito fan, but it was clear to me that fighting Tony was a better and harder challenge. Gatti was gased out.Comment

now with cotto again, floyd says there's no money in fighting cotto, and all of a sudden, floyd's scared of cotto when cotto has never called out floyd publicly, and has had chances to do so at 140 where floyd was a ****ing terror, and imo, 140 was his prime weight and i'm claiming this after he only had 3 fights at that weight. cotto is floyd's best competiton and money maker now after beating mosley, a mosley out of his prime just like de la hoya right? then why isn't cotto getting criticized for fighting a man who you guys now claim was out of his prime, and has seen his best days pass by, yet, when floyd fights oscar, who put up a great fight imo, although clearly lost and it should have been scored that way, floyd only fought over the hill fighters? you people are ****ing hypocrites to the core, it's not even funny. cotto fights the guy who you all believed had the style, power, speed to beat floyd, now since cotto beat him, cotto has the style, size and power to beat floyd. yada yada yada. same old, redundant and tiresome bull****..
ODLH was still a good fighter when he fought Floyd. In my opinion, The fight was fixed. Oscar and Floyd practiced the fight at an unknown location with MayWeather Sr. as the chorographer. ODLH clearly was not there to win the fight, but to make money and his loss would later help him get more money as he uses other fighters to make more money. How much money do you think ODLH is making on the 8th of December??? Oscar is very smart. He helped inflate Floyd's value in order to profit from it in the future. Period!Comment

yes, i agree they would, but my point was that people on this forum switch the fighter that would give floyd the most trouble damn near every month, every month there's somebody new. floyd went for de la hoya because of the money and because of how big he became afterwards. floyd's not dumb, we know why he fought oscar, but my thing is, is that he called out oscar damn near his whole career, and i truly believe that oscar ducked floyd in 2005 as well as mosley, and i may be wrong, but floyd was adament about fighting those two, i'm sure for the money, but also because he wanted them while they were still considered threats. floyd called these guys out in their primes. mosley showed me also against cotto that he had a lot left, but a win over mosley instead of baldomir would have been better than after baldomir because shane had just beaten vargas so a fight between he and floyd would have been huge seeing how floyd beat judah earlier in the year. a fight with shane after carlos would have been good imo for floyd but not as hot as in 2006. so, floyd fought a determined oscar de la hoya for his biggest purse ever. i still want floyd to fight shane. and i really want floyd to fight cotto also. and of course i want him to fight williams and cintron and i feel he will fight these guys eventually, we'll have to wait and see though.Mosley, Cotto and Williams will give Mayweather a harder fight than Hatton. i see your point with oscar making money off of other fighters and losses, but i do also believe that he came there to beat floyd, he just fell short.ODLH was still a good fighter when he fought Floyd. i have always claimed that mayweather would dust mosley at any weight, and he would, because shane gets very sloppy and his defense was never, and will never be on par with floyd's defense(and don't try to make a joke about shane would never run like floyd, ha ha ha, because i'm two steps ahead of you clowns on that bull****). shane turned down a big fight with floyd in 2006, and he was called out, as was oscar, when floyd defeated bruseles, and this was when they both were still great fighters imo anyway(and yes i know de la hoya was retired, but come on, floyd was calling him out since he was at 130), yet, nothing came of it, and it wasn't like floyd was unknown like margarito was, seeing how he was ranked among the best p4p fighters in the sport, was still undefeated and was coming off two great performances and after the gatti fight, floyd became the p4p king, seeing how hopkins lost to taylor, and we all know that floyd would have gotten less money than mosley and shane, seeing how they were the bigger names, but of course, not the better fighters. they opted not to fight him though. now, floyd is ruling in the sport, and his name is getting bigger, yet, oscar nor shane fights him. so, they wait until he gets to 147, where he isn't as fast as he was at 140, and shane decides he may want to fight floyd but his tooth starts to hurt and he needs a vacation and oscar cannot figure out what he wants to do, so they both, oscar and shane that is, decide to fight in 2007. now, floyd fights carlos, beats, him and the little golden girl oscar sees how floyd fought and wasn't too impressed with him, but he knew he had to fight him seeing how this fight was the biggest out there for him to be made, especially seeing how floyd has made a big name for himself inside and outside of the ring, and called oscar out after the baldomir fight. so, he fights floyd who has called oscar out for ages, and oscar makes all of these rules for the fight, like glove type, ring size, weight, seeing how he is the name/draw of the fight, and he still loses after fighting a great fight, and now, shane decides,"hey, oscar darling, i'll take floyd out for you baby boy, i'm ready to fight him." now, floyd is retired, and shane is calling floyd a chicken, when he's the one who publicly turned him down. ..
I guess Mosley was too busy kicking Vargas ass, twice. Then again, mosley said he wanted to fight Floyd after the ODLH fight. Floyd went and retire. Thats why I keep saying both were full of **** and none has the total truth to back them up.Comment
