The division lacks names. If he doesnt want Woods and wont fight Hopkins, then there's not much else out there. Maybe he can fight Pavlik this summer.

I would love to see what name HBO come up with since Joe is keen to keep em happy.

i'm glad you put this in your post seeing how many of the floyd haters criticize floyd for fighting just for money when mainly every big fighter does the same exact thing. just goes to show just how much importance the haters' posts and hateful threads lack when they take up for joe wanting big money for a fight with hopkins but criticize floyd for fighting for money, and call him names like a coward and ***** and a ducker, when in turn, he's looking for big fights just like joey is. hyprocrites to the tee are many of the posters in boxingscene.com/forums.

This is a very good point, Hopkins couldn't sell out a fight in Vegas with Winky, so Hopkins better start getting real if he really wants to fight JC.

Eh, no. Not at all. Kessler was a big European fight. Calzaghe has never fought in the States. He is moving UP to CHALLENGE Hopkins. He should not automatically expect more money.

By this logic, say if Joe made 6 mill vs Kessler, he 'should' get 7 mill vs Hopkins. Silly. If Joe wouldn't take 4 mill in this case, he would be a dumbass and ducker in my eyes.

These figures of what he made vs Kessler and what he was offered by Golden Boy need to be made public. Perhaps Joe was offered a significant amount by Golden Boy but won't say what it is because he knows he could look like a dumbass.

A fight between Calzaghe and Hopkins should generate considerably more money for Calzaghe than a fight with Kessler. If it doesn't then there is no real reason to fight in the US at all.

this is a tough matchup. Many are picking joe to win, but don't count out b-hop. If b-hop uses good technique and not the that grab and punch thiing, he might pull it off. Remember byron scott. Joe stopped him, but not before getting rocked himself.
