and for the fool who put the youtube video in their post to make a point, don't make me laugh. you see it's video's like that, that make floyd even more dangerous for cotto, because looking on how floyd beat sosa, corley, and judah, and cotto knocking them out, i believe fully now that styles make fights, and floyd's style is too much for cotto, trust me.

i mean, you do realize that floyd knocked corley down 6 times but only two were counted as knockdowns when all were surley knockdowns, and he knocked corley down in a southpaw stance and it was counted as a slip, bull****. cotto recieved a hometown stoppage of corley, when the ref stopped it. had the fight been in the united states, it would have not been stopped, and corley rocked the **** out of cotto just like floyd, and floyd knocked corley down later on in the round, although it was viewed as a slip, bull****. cotto beat the **** out of sosa, and floyd ud sosa which only means cotto's style was too much for sosa that night and so was floyd's for that matter. yeah, judah was knocked out but he was coming off of a no decison win and a year layoff. no excuses for zab though, he lost in a beating by cotto, but he also rocked cotto and stunned the **** out of him in the first round, but that fight only again showed how zab burns out in the latter rounds of fights, just like he did with floyd, who systematically broke zab's body down with vicious counter left hooks to his body and right hooks to the pivot of his stomach. zab, imo, never hurt floyd like he did cotto. people are brainwashed by the flash knockdown with floyd recovered from and the one left hand landed in the 4th round that stunned floyd but the rest of zab's punches were blocked. floyd buckled zab in the 2nd round with a counter jab over zab's jab. i mean, they both broke zab down but cotto just happened to knock him out, so what does that mean about floyd? not a damn thing, floyd would break cotto down just like he did zab but worst. cotto is vulnerable to body shots and floyd throws amazing body shots when he chooses to. he can break any fighter down doing this.

so, putting a video in your post means nothing when floyd is a much smarter fighter than zab, corley, and sosa and for that matter cotto. floyd's control over the pace of a fight is staggering. he is so good as controlling fights even on defense that it is scary. he's that good. cotto would have to sell out to beat floyd, who is too fast and smart for him.

floyd defeats cotto by ud or late stoppage.
    I disagree.

First I don't get this "Floyd is a boxing genius" ****. Where are you coming up with that? He's no smarter than either Hatton or Cotto. Floyd's a talented boxer, but he's absolutely no friggin genius. That's just crap.

Second, triangulation is a weak analysis. Corley the journeyman can hardly be used as a legitimate benchmark for anything.

Third, Floyd has one body shot knock down after leaving 130 that I remember. Some boxers never have even one, but I do not believe that Floyd is "amazing" going to the body. In fact, he's quite unexceptional in this area.

Fourth, if anybody will be subject to body shots between Cotto and Floyd, you can be sure it will be Floyd. There is no way Floyd can be compared to Cotto going to the body.

Fifth, what does "Cotto would have to sell out" mean? Floyd is good at controlling the pace, but so is Cotto.

Cotto whips Floyd rather handily IMO. Apparently Floyd has concerns himself because he's already negated the idea that he will ever fight Cotto.

That post is a singularly fine example of nuthugging. Talk about blowing Floyd out of proportion. Holy ****!

I'm from the planet that saw Cotto beat Mosely 7 rounds to 5. The same planet where Mosely beats Floyd with room to spare.

To much of a puncher for PBF? Yea right. PBF has faced punchers before and he's bet em all. I agree about the one with Hatton, although I think Cotto can punch better than Hatton to. This guy sounds like an idiot.

NOBODY at Welter (or 140 or 154) beats Floyd EASILY. It's just not realistic. He has a style for every opponent. The reason he hasn't lost is because he adjusts better than anyone. There are guys with faster hands, there are guys with more power, there are guys who counter punch and slip better, but nobody puts it all together as well as Floyd. He is always able to find the Achilles Heel in his opponents because every fighter has a weakness, and Floyd, thus far, has been able to expose it every time. Miguel Cotto is certainly no exception. Could he win? Yes. Easily? No.

I like Bill Detloff, he's a true gent and always replies to his email, and most of the time he's pretty spot on, but I don't agree with anything he said in this comment. I think Hatton's pace and lateral movement would trouble Miguel, and Floyd would adjust to him swiftly. That's not to say that Cotto couldn't beat either of them, but it certainly wouldn't be a sure thing.

You don't think PBF could beat his own ****. So most of the **** you say about PBF should taken with a grain of salt as they say.

                      Floyd will retire unbeaten!

Floyd Mayweather will retire unbeaten regardless of what all the crtics and haters think! There have been many threads on here suggesting that his opponent at that particular time would hand him his first lost! Needless to say the outcome has continued to remain the same, as it will on Dec 8. I just cannot believe you guys cannot understand that there is not a fighter out there that will beat him right now. To be honest, i don't even believe Floyd even needs a trianer thats how smart he is in the ring. Say what you want about Floyd he will only beat his self by staying in the sport to long. That might not even be the case. The subject of him fighting Cotto has come about several times in which most of you seem to think Cotto would destroy Floyd! HA HA HA-NOT! Floyd would comepletely expsoe Cotto's flaws with virtual ease. Cotto is a very very great young fighter, but lacks the skill, smarts,to defeat Floyd. Face it guys Floyd is the best fighter to put on a pair of gloves, and you all know this!!
