he could beat them both at once
..Cotto-Mayweather/Hatton: William Dettloff's Take...

You CAN have the opinion. However, he also didn't fight Margarito and he's also a Arum fighter. Yet he's willing to fight Cintron or Williams. You also think Hatton would beat Cotto, so you're admitting that Hatton is the superior of the two. So, to say he's ducking anyone at this point is a bit unfair.IMO Cotto would whip the **** out of Floyd. Let's put it this way: if Floyd gets by Hatton and then defeats Cotto.....I'll have found a new respect for Floyd. Unfortunately, it's fairly clear that Floyd won't fight Cotto even if he manages to get by Hatton. He blames it on Arum, but IMO it's just more of the same bull****.
But, believe what you will.Comment

I meant exactly what I said. And, the not fighting Cotto statement is based upon statements made by Floyd himself (not opinion). Hopefully, the fight will be made (assuming Floyd makes it past Hatton) because it would be the biggest fight out there. The boxing world would demand it.You CAN have the opinion. Yeah, he did say it. I never denied that. I don't think anyone would TRULY be implying that, and if it seemed like I was in any way, I wasn't.I meant exactly what I said. What I'm saying is, he's avoided Arum fighters for a while now. That's also fact. To assume it's NOT a coincidence, and just happens to fear his fighters.. is a bit crazy. Especially since he's willing to fight Cintron or Williams (Margaritos conquerer), depending on who wins. And he's fighting Hatton, a fighter with a SLIGHTLY SIMILAR style to Cotto, and a fighter you said would possibly beat Cotto. He was even willing to fight Mosley if he won. Of course he didn't. However, these things don't sound like ducking anyone other than deals with Arum involved.
Regardless, the money will be too big and if/when he gets passed Hatton, I'm sure he be too greedy (a GREAT thing for us all) and will force HIMSELF to fight Cotto.
What I meant by opinion was all this talk about ducking.Comment

I hear what you're saying, C. But, while I pick Hatton in a close one against Cotto, I think Cotto is a bigger threat style wise to Floyd. He's bigger with a longer jab. Don't fall into the triangulation trap. Although it can be useful at times, triangulation is a pretty weak analysis. Wouldn't you agree?Yeah, he did say it. I never denied that.
