I completely don't agree with triangular logic. I was ONLY mentioning it because Cotto and Hatton fight similiarly in the first place. It's long a Cotto-lite, in my personal opinion, that Hatton brings to the table.

Don't get me wrong, I happen to think Hatton has some advantages over Cotto, I'm not tryin' diss him. I'm talking about the style they are both known for. I think Cotto brings that a bit better, only slightly but better.

I RARELY wil ever use the triangulation argument, if I ever TRULY do.

The reason I think Hatton will take Cotto is because of two things: 1. Hatton's chin is better than Cotto's and that fight could very well be determined on that...who falls first; and 2. Hatton's relentless pressure and stamina. Cotto has that too, but you'll note it's particularly effective against boxers who don't take to it very well. When Shane changed tactics and tried to pressurize Cotto, Cotto retreated. Now that could have been because he knew Shane was behind and therefore Cotto could sit back and counter. But, it could also have been that he just wasn't comfortable with it because of Shane's power. Hatton has power. Furthermore, Cotto appeared gassed at times. He may not have the stamina that Hatton has.

The fight happens at 147. Cottos has had no chin problems here, that really threatened him. Hatton, proven, not so much. Second of all, Cotto has great stamina. So does Hatton. To me, it's a toss up. I see some of your points though.

they both would give cotto problems, and he would lose decisively to floyd also, but i believe he would beat hatton though, in a very tough fight. cotto and hatton both are great body punchers but hatton is a swarmer and with his style against cotto, this would give cotto a lot of problems.

and for the fool who put the youtube video in their post to make a point, don't make me laugh. you see it's video's like that, that make floyd even more dangerous for cotto, because looking on how floyd beat sosa, corley, and judah, and cotto knocking them out, i believe fully now that styles make fights, and floyd's style is too much for cotto, trust me.

i mean, you do realize that floyd knocked corley down 6 times but only two were counted as knockdowns when all were surley knockdowns, and he knocked corley down in a southpaw stance and it was counted as a slip, bull****. cotto recieved a hometown stoppage of corley, when the ref stopped it. had the fight been in the united states, it would have not been stopped, and corley rocked the **** out of cotto just like floyd, and floyd knocked corley down later on in the round, although it was viewed as a slip, bull****. cotto beat the **** out of sosa, and floyd ud sosa which only means cotto's style was too much for sosa that night and so was floyd's for that matter. yeah, judah was knocked out but he was coming off of a no decison win and a year layoff. no excuses for zab though, he lost in a beating by cotto, but he also rocked cotto and stunned the **** out of him in the first round, but that fight only again showed how zab burns out in the latter rounds of fights, just like he did with floyd, who systematically broke zab's body down with vicious counter left hooks to his body and right hooks to the pivot of his stomach. zab, imo, never hurt floyd like he did cotto. people are brainwashed by the flash knockdown with floyd recovered from and the one left hand landed in the 4th round that stunned floyd but the rest of zab's punches were blocked. floyd buckled zab in the 2nd round with a counter jab over zab's jab. i mean, they both broke zab down but cotto just happened to knock him out, so what does that mean about floyd? not a damn thing, floyd would break cotto down just like he did zab but worst. cotto is vulnerable to body shots and floyd throws amazing body shots when he chooses to. he can break any fighter down doing this.

so, putting a video in your post means nothing when floyd is a much smarter fighter than zab, corley, and sosa and for that matter cotto. floyd's control over the pace of a fight is staggering. he is so good as controlling fights even on defense that it is scary. he's that good. cotto would have to sell out to beat floyd, who is too fast and smart for him.

floyd defeats cotto by ud or late stoppage.
