Maybe he plans really to go toe to toe with hatton, and that's why he is training with a strong guy like baldomir

Floyd was training at Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym I heard in the beginning of his training for Hatton...Floyd coulda asked freddie to ask pacman to spar with him, what a sight that would be...

Oh quite, I agree, that's what I was saying... just not as clearly as you did.

Not saying that's a good reason, but when Floyd was fighting Judah for the "title" before deciding to go for Baldy, then it seems a bit rich to be blaming The Paler for "ducking" the fearsome Carlos Baldomir.
thats because that fight was already signed while Judah was king of the division, once baldomir beat him, they had to renew the terms and fight anyway. Regardless, he fought baldomir and got the title, the problem is that when the "world was awaiting" for floyd at DLH at 154, welterweight became stacked, with the addition of cotto, the emergance of cintron, but the biggest issue and reason that floyd fought baldomir is because shane flatout ducked mayweather with one of the most rediculous excuses id ever seen.

either way i agree, its not a good reason but it would have worked in hattons favor.

The thing is, I don't actually like The Paler much at all, but I see him get blasted in NSB from everything from ducking Wlad to raping kittens. Some of it is OTT and just manipulation of facts to suit an angle. The only reason I can suspect for this is pure xenophobia. That and the fact that he's ginger, which is valid.

What was so rediculous about it? Following his rematch with Vargas, Shane had stated that he would take the rest of the year off to fullfill family obligations. You cant call someone out AFTER they already said they wont be fighting for the rest of the year, then claim they ducked u.

Lets be honest now. The reason he fought Baldomir was because the only other person who was ready, willing, and eager to fight him, was Margarito. For some reason, Floyd avoided him like the plague.

                  GATTI.

When Gatti was knocked out, Hatton and his team withdrew the Idea decided to pursue Juan Urango instead.
Ya i get that, but Hatton supposedly moved up to chase Floyd right. So he goes and gets a belt from Collazo, now instead of going after the true champ in Baldomir which wouldve definately attracted Floyd had he won, he goes back down to 140, whats the reasoning behind that. Its not like Urango is a big name either, all he had was the belt that Ricky vacated i believe.

So when Floyd "retired" why did Ricky Hatton call him out? Boxers are always looking for fights no matter what they say, its in their blood. Shane had his chance and at the time ducked him for some reason or another, simple as that.

U made it seem as if Floyd fought Baldomir because he had no other choice. Who would Floyd have fought if Gatti would've beat Baldomir? U telling me that he would've just dropped his scheduled HBO ppv date, instead of fighting Margarito, just because Margo wasnt "worthy" enough to be in the ring with him?

Even then, if Floyd wouldve stayed retired, nobody would be able to say that he ducked Ricky. How can u duck someone if your retired?
