Hatton (43-0) >>> Baldomir (43-11) LOL. Whos the better fighter?

Records can be devieving, care to speak on why Hatton wanted no part of Baldomir? He was the undisputed welterweight champion, if Hatton was better why didnt he fight him?

Honestly, i know NOTHING of a potential matchup between Ricky and Baldo, where Ricky stated that he wanted no part of him. Show me a link or something.

          Don't go on records alone.

Who's better, the guy with a 43-0 record or the guy with a 45-3 record?

How about if I were to ask the same question but phrase it this way: Who's better, Hatton (43-0) or Pacquiao (45-3), what would you say? I'd pick Pac, and so would MOST boxing scribes. That's the reason he's #2 or #3 P4P and Hatton is #8-10.

Baldi was the Undisputed WW champion of the world before he fought Floyd. Surely that means something.

oddly enough, i can answer that question, because Hatton was actually trying to setup a fight with *gasp...

            GATTI.

When Gatti was knocked out, Hatton and his team withdrew the Idea decided to pursue Juan Urango instead.

I honestly dont. But to say that Baldomir is better than Hatton is purely ubsurd.

Would have been a big payday.

Not saying that's a good reason, but when Floyd was fighting Judah for the "title" before deciding to go for Baldy, then it seems a bit rich to be blaming The Paler for "ducking" the fearsome Carlos Baldomir.

Records aside, Hatton is ranked on most all P4P and Baldomir isn't and never should have been. If he was ranked at all it was because of his upset over Zab Judah.. and thats about it. You are right we don't need to go into their records because the fact is MOST boxing scribes would easily pick Hatton over Baldomir. Thats why Hatton is ranked P4P and Baldobum is just that, a sparring partner at best.

Baldobum was the WW champ because he managed to upset Zab Judah, don't make it more than it is.

Hatton tried to set up a fight with Gatti for the simple reason of gaining exposure in the states. It would've been a good matchup considering thier styles. Gatti had a following, Baldomir has none. He was only trying to do what Floyd did. Use Gatti to catch the publics eye.
