no look at my post above.... the whole nation was behind him after the olympics and he's become a celebrity in the uk. he's on numerous tv shows and has his own book out now as well. if you asked the casual sports fan about boxing in the uk, khans name would probably be mentioned above calzaghe and hatton. its nothing to do with race for the majority of people, but obviously you will have your idiots

Sorry, didn't see that post. I wonder what the folks over there in the UK are gonna do when Khan gets exposed, it's inevitable. I know I have said this before, but Fraudley Harrison was an olympic gold medalist and he was badly exposed after being overhyped. Your boy David Haye passed the test recently, he has a better chance at succeding than Amir Khan. Frank Warren is gonna have a stroke when Khan gets exposed.

yeah mate i seen your post when you congratulated haye, props to you for that. i agree with you as well, he has a far greater chance of being successful than khan. if the limond knock down was a flash one i wouldn't really be too concerned but he was hurt badly i think, although fair play to him for recovering so quickly. if he improves his defence he might have half a chance but he's too raw even against earl at this stage

I said past the test instead of passed the test, don't think I'm an idiot, lol.

Khan was definately hurt against Limond from what I saw, it almost looked like he was gonna stay down. People say Earl isn't a big puncher, but I disagree, he put down the iron chinned Katsidis when they fought so he can definately put down Khan for the 10 count. Earl is a true warrior and he has a huge heart, khan will get discouraged when he realizes he can't stop Earl and then he will be put to sleep. I can't wait for this fight.

10k on khan beating earl. it is true that khan was hurt agaisnt liamond. he was hit by 2 or 3 good shots though. BUT if you saw his last fight then he has improved in his defence with his left higher. also he moves in and out much more now. 14 fights and taking on earl is a big challnge. boxers dont get really good until atleast 20 i would say. experience is key.

i mean when khan got hit by liamond he didnt cover up at all. he kinda bent his legs and made it easier to hit. he also didnt seem to know what to do when he was knocked down. getting up then down on his knee.

Khan wasn't hurt as badly as some people are making out. It was his first professional knockdown, he was up within 4 but his corner confused him by telling him to go down on one knee. You can see him looking at his corner for instructions. If anyone was to blame for that scene, it was his corner not his chin.

I agree though, experience is the key and I reckon Khan has genuinely learned a lot from that knock down. If Earl does manage to catch him and put him down, if the Limond fight is anything to go by, he'll make Earl pay for it very quickly.

erm limond had 9 knockouts in about 26 fights i think.... feather fisted. earl hits ALOT harder and had katsidis down. kahn was also put down in the amateurs. if earl hits him clean i dont think amir will have a chance to make him pay as he'll probably be asleep

err but Kastsidis won the fight in like 4 rounds and Earls corner actually tried to pull him out earlier because he was getting battered . Earl hit the deck twice in round 1! Khan probably hits almost as hard as Katsidis already (some might argue harder but I would disagree because of his age) and he has better all round skill.. Earl is more overhyped than Khan is, supposedly, by some people, he retired on his stool before the 5th round then went off to hospital.

Khan is nowhere near the puncher Katsidis is. Katsidis is the hardest puncher at 135, look at his KO%. Earl's corner stopped the fight because of the bad cut, even though Earl got knocked down he showed tremendous heart and he was taking Katsidis' punches very well after the knockdowns. Earl was willing to keep on fighting but his corner wouldn't let him, he had to retire AFTER the 5th round. I would like to see Khan vs Katsidis, Katsidis would KO Khan very early, GURANTEED. It would look like Ponce De Leon vs Rey Bautista.

Well Khan vs Katsidis wouldn't be a good move for Khan at this stage. I think Katsidis would definitely have a good chance to beat Khan if they fought now, but definitely not in 3 rounds. Khan would stand a chance of beating Katsidis too but his lack of experience might be what ultimately goes against him in that fight. Khan will beat Katsidis easily with about 2 years more experience.
