Name me a fighter in the last 10 years who has beaten as many quality opponents as Mayweather ??

The guy that always has fight the best is Oscar de la Hoya. Thats why he has lost. Trinidad, quartey, Vargas, Mosley, Hopkings, Mayweather, Chavez, Whitaker, Mayorga, Ruelas. Hey what a resume right?. I can assure you that mayweather would possibly have a lost if he fhougt Barrera, Eric Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez or possibly Pacciau, Juan Diaz, Kosta Tzu,when he was in the lower divitions. And right now he have some opportunities to lost with Cotto or paul Williams besides that nobody in the ww has a chance and i dont think that is going to go to the sw again.

I would'nt say protected but he is like RJJ to clever for his own good he knows how to maximsie his chnaces of winning by picking opurtune moments to fight certain fighters or picking fighters that will look good on paper etc

i believe he will fight anybody if the money is right , i dont beileve he wont fight Cotto that is just a smoke screen IMO to create more interest make more money

Someone remember that Mayweather never fights with Barrera, Erick Morales, Juan Maunuel Marquez, Freitas, Kosta Tzu, Pacciau when he was in the lower divitions. Neither Hernandez, Corrales, Corley, Judah, Gatti has and elite status like the mention before for a guy that is proclaimed the pound for pound best boxer. He has only two fights with elite boxers Castillo, De la Hoya and now Hatton. And he has avoid too fight Mosley foor a long time ago when Mosley has a better stand than right now. And now he aviod to talk about Cotto, Margarito. I think is the same old strategy lets rest merits to fighters that are going to put me real danger so that the fans dont ask me to fight them and to me to aviod them.

mayweather has been ducking fighters since he was an amateur. i bet he never fights another mexican the rest of his life because castillo and margarito have put fear in his heart.

look at his resume. when he has he ever taken a risk?? he doesnt take a risk when making a fight and he doesnt take a risk in the ring. even against bums like baldomir he runs for 12 rounds. mayweather is a protected fighter.

It's called moving and keeping away from your opponent,and you know what?
It frustrates the hell out of your opponent when you keep moving away from them.Because it is a strategy. He comes close when he feels like it , and moves away when he doesn't have to. Personally, I think he found Baldomir so easy, he didn't need to stand toe to toe with him. He found it such an easy fight, he toyed around with him.
