I wouldnt say protected, as much as i would say that he looks for low risk/high reward fights. I think he's going to have his hands FULL with Hatton though.

All money making fighters are protected to a certain extent.Mayweather probably has some of the best management in the business because he picks his fights very well.People need to realise that today in boxing especially in the American scene it is not really a sport anymore in the true sense its a business.Rarely do you get an even honest and fair fight.

Fake Floyd has fought bums and feasted on them.

Although it is quite understandable why America clings to him even though he is a coward and a duck.

            becase America has nobody else.

Exactly, he was an underdog to Coralles (whom 70-75% of people picked to beat him) and about even money with Castillo. Also, don't forget that about half of the people picked DLH to beat him, by KO no less.

Nope, a protected fighter doesn't fight the fighters listed here. The thing is that Floyd is heads and shoulders above everyone else in boxing and everyone thinks that he's fighting no-risk mofos when, in fact, he's fighting very good opposition that is just nowhere near his level.

Gatti at 140 was 3rd best (after Ricky and Cotto)
Baldomir, at WW, was the undisputed champ and ranked #1 by Ring Mag at 147
DLH was top 3 in the 154-pound division and Floyd moved up there and beat him, too

I mean, seriously, who do you people expect Floyd to fight, Wlad? Joe Calzaghe? Hopkins? Be real. Floyd should be fighting at 135 or 140 and yet he moved all the way up to 154 and clearly beat DLH.

                  Good question.

Now answer this and you will have answered your question.

AND PLEASE NO ****ING EXCUSES. IDIOCY HAS NO CURE SO DON'T INFLICT YOURSELF.

In there a name in Fake Floyd's resume which comes even near Barrera and Morales.

                  And KO wins at that.

What I see are fights against bums. Judah, Gatti, Baldomir

And an old and gassed-out DLH who rearranged his face.

                  That's your answer.

                  AND LET ME REMIND YOU.

                  PLEASE NO EXCUSES.

A protected fighter is someone who lacks this resume.

                    Kostya

And let's not even forget what Fake FLoyd said.

"I'M NOT FIGHTING TO PROVE TO THE FANS WHO'S THE BEST".
