I was surprised he fought the way he did. He boxed well, still I can't shake off those last rounds. I did not expected the "hit and run" style from him. He did what needed to be done in order to win. As long as he keeps that in mind, he should only improve. Depending on who he fights next, his legacy will be determined.

I'll be the first to admit that I never knew cotto could fight like that. I seriously thought he was a relentless body puncher that wore down his opponents, incapable of counter punching and fighting going backwards. I didn't think he could be that fast, box going backwards and still be effective. Shane looked really good in the fight, except I think he may have given Cotto a little to much respect in the beginning rounds. If he would have gotten in Cotto's face I believe the outcome would have been different. Cotto never tries to box an opponent and he showed intelligence by switching the game plan and boxing the last three rounds instead of fighting Mosely when he was coming into his own in the fight.

Right, no I understand you're a highly intelligent guy, Antonim.

So you would say the Cotto in each of those fights was about the same?

Good post. Respect, this says what virtually everyone was thinking.

I totally agree, Cotto showed his intelligence. Extremely so.

It was a very clever fight. I don't think everyone realizes how well he understood when to do things and what his limitations and strengths were.

That was an awesome performance by Miguel.

if you watch the abdullaev fight he was fighting backwards of the ropes it was mohamed who pressed the action.

Wow, he was moving alot and fighting effectively.

I can see what you're saying.

He really took that to another level with Mosley, but I can see the blueprint with this example.
