I mentioned in my breakdown that Cotto was a much better boxer than people give him credit for. All one must do is watch one of his amateur bouts. He was not the same aggressive Miguel Cotto we have all come to adore. He was a slickster. He circled the ring. He used his feet.

This is a thread for the Cotto fans as much as anyone else.

Any one of them tries to say they weren't suprised and they're full of ****.

      Period.

      Thank you.

Right, that's what his fans will try to say too..

But come on. This is at the highest level.

I can outbox my grandma. That doesn't mean I outbox Shane Mosley.

Did Cotto give you more than you expected? And how/what, exactly?
i thought Cotto would win from the moment Mosley said he would stand and trade with Cotto untill he said that i was picking Mosley albeit i am a Cotto fan as u can see , the only thing that suprised me was how much Mosley's speed & reactions have slowed down

I was never a Cotto hater but more of a Cotto doubter. I was just worried about his chin I knew he had good skills I just thought his chin would come back to bite him. I came away thoroughly impressed.

The fight was great. Cotto took a hell of alot of shots;Body blows, and those right hands Whoo. But he took it and kept scoring. Now on the other hand the last round I was upset. I wanted Cotto to do some damage because in rd 11 he got caught and hurt, and in the 12th he decided to run. I was PISSED! but he clearly won.

Ok, I agree to some extent - but isn't that taking away from Miguel's perfomance?
