If it was a real world wide poll with experts from around the globe equally and not 80% American then I'm pretty sure Mayweather would not be considered the best guy in all the weight divisions. He is a great defensive fighter but he is abit boring and doesn't brawl or take any risks.Great sportsmen are defined by their ability to take risks, entertain and excite and still win, boxing is a fluid, creative sport its not meant to be a boring sport by numbers like golf or motor racing.I would say Calzaghe is the best guy in boxing right now,he ticks all the boxes.

What would it take though? Floyd moving all the way up to Heavyweight?

Because his accomplishments are there. I can find all sorts of arguments against him, but I'll be on the losing end:

WHEN TALKING ABOUT POUND FOR POUND GREAT FIGHTERS.

Hence the criteria that he moved up in weight and sought challenges/captured belts against bigger guys because:

He ran out of opposition at the lower weights, and people still to this day harangue him for turning down the Margarito fight.

In retrospect, it's getting pretty sad. The bastard is who he is...............a bastard. But I'm getting pretty sick and tired of saying how I'd like to see someone shut him up.

Nobody is shutting him up, so I learned to deal with him.

I have respect for Floyd's skills as a boxer. Is he the best p4p in the world, given that he's a welterweight now? Nope.
