B hop is way to old to keep up with joe or even ko him IMO b hop can only win a close ud or just lose by ko or a large ud.

"With Joe himself saying that he has the most trouble with fighters who stand back and counterpunch we have to consider the possibility that both Winky Wright and Bernard Hopkins are potential foils for Joe Calzaghe. Beating up conventional fighters the way that Joe has is nothing those two couldn't do either. What happens when they fight each other we don't yet know for sure. But we do know that Winky and Bernard were ranked higher than Joe at every point in history before the present.

Beating a fighter like Kessler means nothing in terms of Joe's prospects if he takes on the "legends" he has referred to."

      THANK YOU!
Everyone is talking about Joe's undefeated record but answer this, Has HE EVER BEAT anyone Ranked in the Top ten of boxing ranks?... Joe hasn't even fought anyone close to anyone's P4P rankings... Look at how many former and current WORLD (real) champions Hopkins has fought/beaten
Joe is skilled, he has fast hands and based on Saturday's fight he has a better chin than most... but he is not in the same class as B-Hop
      Winky
      Oscar
      Tarver
      Trinidad
      ... c'mon folks

I understand that many people believe that Hopkins is extremely dirty and clinches a lot, but I think many are misled simply by watching the Winky fight. Yes, that fight was MUCH more dirtier, and had much more clinching than I've ever seen Hopkins do, but I think that was his game plan because he had that idea to beat Wink. He'll have a different game plan for Joe.

In his other fights he didnt clinch nearly as much, and although he doesn't throw a lot of punches in his past 4 fights, Hopkins has surprised many people in certain situations where he's stepped it up. Think Trinidad. He outworked Tito by a large margin and KO'd the man EVERYBODY expected to KO HIM.

It is never going to be easy against Hopkins but i favour JC. I mean if JT can beat Hopkins, then surely JC could. But Hopkins is a crafty pro with tricks up his sleeve. But JC is a younger magician on the block.
I am sure there are other fights out there for JC though.

Hopkins' skill level is way above Calzaghe's. Hopkins by U.D...
Kessler was undefeated, so was Lacy

            they all crumble...

              Calzaghe would outwork Hopkins.

So if Calzaghe were to knock out a puffed up Pacquiao that would make him greater in your book?

I just have a small observation on this fight.

It would be in everyone's best interest, from the promoters to the fighters to the network to the venue, to have this fight be featured for a 24/7 documentary on HBO.

I'm just saying, to be the great you have to fight great fighters. If you want to be considered legendary, you have to fight legends. How many hall-of-famers has this guy fought?!?Honestly at this point in his career, its too late for Joe to be anywhere near Hopkins as far as ring accomplishments go.
Joe has fought really good fighters (about two or three);however, he has not faced any great fighters.
