calzaghes may win fights no doubt but what im trying to get at his style to me as a boxing fan is not what i want to see in a champ. calzaghe has achieved alote in the past 10 yrs but the way he fights is not impressive. his very unorthidox throws wide punches in flurries. to me thats not a delight to watch campared to jones jnr or hopkins. i know they can expose his style in their prime now that hopkins is 42 and slowed down his not his prime . you dont have to be an expert to see calzaghe style is unique but its not impressive and he is vulnerable as shown in the first 4 rounds against kessler. kessler struggles in 12 round fights it even showed against mundine. what im getting at is a boxer with good style that can last 12 rounds without losing all their breath can really expose calzaghes style. maybe a less gun shy mundine can do it . and honestly his style pissed me off

maybe not his last fight but watching him against tarver before that definately was a delight shows how crafty and how he can outbox and out smart others. calzaghe just doesnt cut it for me. kessler showed me what i already knew about calzaghe in the opening 4 rounds. but obviously got tired so maybe if a fight with hopkins happens the world will see what im talking about. he isnt in the league of elite his up there with the winners but lacks style.

He should have not backed up as much as he did and went forward with his straight shot and not have worried about being hit. There is noway those punches hurt him. Also listening to the the commentators ( i forget there names atm) talk about how great Calzaghe is doesnt sit right with me. That all i have to rant about im sure there is another post about this fight i missed but its late time for bed.

You say he has no power i assure you my friend Lacy would argue against your point. And all of the would have an should have talk about what Kessler should have done, but didn't. Your not in the ring, Kessler is. and considering that Joe has no power in his punches he sure had a high accurate volume of them. If your only definition of a good boxer is to have power, speed kills, stalls nullify's power, so does movement so does experience and so does a heart of a champion, which Kessler found out.

If it takes a "legend" to "expose" somebody then they're not being "exposed". They are just that good that only a legend can cause them some problems. I suggest you invest in a good dictionary.

i watch boxing and i understand boxing yes calzaghe can win fights ok but his style sucks. he knows how to win fights but but his punches are slaps his coerdination is not impressive. to the casual boxing fan they dont understand whats so speacial about calzaghe because his style sucks. calzaghes strenghth is he throws lots of puches and can do it for 12 rounds even hopkins said that and i mentioned it yesterday. his style sucks and both you punks are arse holes. just because you guys are calzaghe fans doesnt mean my opinion is wrong its fact. calzaghe is just a ***** slapper that wins fights which pisses me off
