The good thing is that alot of ppl underrate alot of Calzaghe's opponents. He beat some good boxers in their primes. It's a good thing, because then we have the dumb ppl who will bet on hopkins and make the odds closer

Yea, that Sakio Bika is incredible. Jaidon Codrington had him beat in the 1st round, but because he sucks, he couldn't finish. Calzaghe and his "underrated power" had to win a close decision.

Joe is going to be in for a serious shock against Bernard. He's an entirely different animal than anyone Joe has ever faced. The same goes for Joe as well. Don't think I don't give Calz all his due props, but the guys giving Bernard no chance are delusional. This fight ends in a close, ugly decision either way. I'm predicting **** loads of controversy following this potential mess. I'd say it's about 80% probable that BOTH men will retire after this fight. You heard it here.

Joe Calzaghe beats Hopkins IMO, he can outbox him.

Add in some headbutts, hip punches, and crisp counter right hands and Hopkins would outpoint him.

If the fight is made official, I'm looking your way for a bet.

U can see why Hopkins is so successful without having great power, but not Calzaghe? He didnt just beat Lacy and Kessler by throwing loads of punches. If his punches were so weak how was he able to bust up Lacy and stop Kessler from simply walking through him?
He is also an awkward spoiler, but has great speed, timing, range of punches, hes a southpaw, adjusts his distance great, knows when and how to apply pressure and when to back off.

Are you kidding me what do you mean people underrate Calzaghes opponents.Yes he(Calzaghe) has fought fighters with great records but the only reason they have great records Is because they have fought terrible opposition. In other words Calzaghes oppenents have padded records.I am not a hater of Calzaghe but the reality of It all Is In no way shape or form has he had the accomplishments or quality of opposition that Bernard has had.

Haha Calzaghe finds a way to win but Nard doesn't.

Is that some type of joke? Hopkins is renown for finding ways to win fights.

lol finding ways to win fights.

                  1. Hopkins was body slammed on his shoulder against Echols causing a dislocation. Instead of quit the fight and win by DQ when he was given the option he fought the rest of the fight using the arm sparingly.......and started putting on a clinic.

                  2. He was getting outboxed by De La Hoya. I don't know who had Nard ahead on the cards in the first rounds..........but that **** would be laughable. It wasn't until the 5th that he started winning rounds in dominant fashion. Oscar had already slowed down a bit, Hopkins adjusted to Oscar's style and he ended up stopping him with 1 punch. Nobody had ever done that before.

                  3. Instead of trying to box Holmes on the outside, or get in a tactical fight with him in the clinches...........Nard knew he'd need to use severe roughhouse tactics and ensure that Holmes didn't have any gas left in the tank in the late rounds. He did that by throwing a sick amount of low blows that took the legs right out from under Holmes.

                  4. Why in the hell would he stand and trade with Eastman and Joppy when he knew he landed the better punches in the early rounds, and dictated the tempo of the fight? LOL maybe he's the most boring fighter of all time right now.........I don't care what anyone's aesthetic perception of his fight style is. It doesn't change the fact he FOUND A WAY TO WIN THOSE FIGHTS and changes his style accordingly.

                  5. Fight Wright's fight? lol he knew he couldn't stand and trade with him.....and he also knew he'd have to use some angles as well as get rough. When was the last time Wright lost a fight? Who were all of those superstars he beat? Anyone refresh my memory? I'm tired of typing their names. He roughed Wright the **** up with headbutts and dirty tactics.

Nard is the best at finding ways to win fights.

im sorry but this is some typical pro american bull**** thread about how hopkins is ****ing superman and is going to whip calzaghe at 43 years old.

If this fight does come off, hopkins will get a beating.

the man throws one punch a round, is as old as the ****ing hills and lost to jermain taylor. The only people he has beat are blown up light weights.

if you think jermain taylor is a better boxer than calzaghe you people are even ******er than i thought

iknow it will be 50/50. calz could out work hopkins or get out classes. who knows but hopkins aint exactly young or had many fights in the last 4 or so years. it could be a bore with joe winning a lot of rounds or hopkins. who knows.

bika was a dirty fighter that joe didn't really know. he said it wasn't his best performance and also said he didnt really know bika. he said he performs when he fights the threats and big names. after 9 years as champion would you train as ahrd as you can for a bika after getting recognised from the alcy fight?

anwyay joe will train his ass off for hopkns and so woudl hopkins for joe.
