    1. Hopkins was body slammed on his shoulder against Echols causing a dislocation. Instead of quit the fight and win by DQ when he was given the option he fought the rest of the fight using the arm sparingly.......and started putting on a clinic.

    2. He was getting outboxed by De La Hoya. I don't know who had Nard ahead on the cards in the first rounds..........but that **** would be laughable. It wasn't until the 5th that he started winning rounds in dominant fashion. Oscar had already slowed down a bit, Hopkins adjusted to Oscar's style and he ended up stopping him with 1 punch. Nobody had ever done that before.

    3. Instead of trying to box Holmes on the outside, or get in a tactical fight with him in the clinches...........Nard knew he'd need to use severe roughhouse tactics and ensure that Holmes didn't have any gas left in the tank in the late rounds. He did that by throwing a sick amount of low blows that took the legs right out from under Holmes.

    4. Why in the hell would he stand and trade with Eastman and Joppy when he knew he landed the better punches in the early rounds, and dictated the tempo of the fight? LOL maybe he's the most boring fighter of all time right now.........I don't care what anyone's aesthetic perception of his fight style is. It doesn't change the fact he FOUND A WAY TO WIN THOSE FIGHTS and changes his style accordingly.

    5. Fight Wright's fight? lol he knew he couldn't stand and trade with him.....and he also knew he'd have to use some angles as well as get rough. When was the last time Wright lost a fight? Who were all of those superstars he beat? Anyone refresh my memory? I'm tired of typing their names. He roughed Wright the **** up with headbutts and dirty tactics.

Nard is the best at finding ways to win fights.

joe is great at finding ways to win fights too. however i think both of them will find it ahrder than ever to find a way to win. they both are just unique

Yeah he is great at finding ways to win fights. Calzaghe is.

I was responding to Welter and Bobby Pazuzu about them being in agreement that Hopkins doesn't find ways to win fights. That's laughable.

I think they're just referring to the Taylor fights.

ah i see. tbh hopkins has beat some decent fighters. both can be described as boxers who change the way you fight. both can control the ring and thats why both are highly thought of. i didnt think the winky fight proved anyhting but i think if hopkins beats calz then he will be considered no doubt one of the best boxers ever.

the noly crit i could give hopkins is that he has beaten soem great names but i feel they werent fighting at their natural weight. wright and oscar. he probably fought them for the money.

Their Is no need for Bernard to beat Calzaghe In order to maintain that he Is one of the greatest boxers ever.Bernard has already sealed the deal as far as greatness Is concerned. So win lose or draw It will not effect him.If anything Its the other way around Calzaghe must defeat Hopkins to be considered great.

You have good points in total.

The bolded is where it's at. You're familiar with Hopkins and in reality like or dislike (not referring to your preferences, but in general) it's to me.......like answering questions in a second grade spelling bee.

For a while........he was fighting some less than stellar comp, lol. But once people critiqued that, he stepped it up. Now it seems he's not going to waste his time with anyone that ISN'T A GOD DAMN SUPERSTAR.

How about he gets a tuneup? Like a Froch, or Bute? LMFAO even at that........those guys aren't tune up type fighters.

But he'd ****ing decimate them like they were.

                Agreed.

But for the sake of where he stands all time...................

Like he decimated Taylor in both fights and the way he decimated Winky?

                    Couple of quick pointers.

                    1. Taylor and Wink are like Worlds above Froch and Bute in quality. That should just pretty much omit any argument about them being congruent.

                    2. Nard beat Taylor 115-113 in the first fight, drew the second.

                    3. He clearly beat Wright, and showed him he had no business at 170 lbs.

IMO, Bernard is already HOF and an ATG. What else does he need to prove? He's an old man now and his skills HAVE eroded. Is it just money, or what?
