Calzaghe's biggest wins were against Lacy and Kessler, both of whom, while good fighters were never in the top ranking at any time in their careers. Kelly Pavlik has a better track record than Joe Calzaghe IMO.
"Solid challenger?", the man had 2 current world belts and was on almost every top p4p list I've seen around 11-15.

I also agree with you about him countering with the uppercut but i don't think he's fast nor powerful enough to do anything with it, calz could sit there and trade or go for the kill, its certainly a chess match game on paper but in reality i just think calz is too much and has too much to offer to be beaten at the moment, id like a bet on it if it happens though so come my way if its announced, its boxing and id be happy to eat my words(but only on the strong belief that i'm in the right hehe)
What?? Calzaghe is a great defensive as well as offensive boxer. That guy has it all. When are you guys going to come around? Joe C is a boxing artist. Insiders have known this for a long time. It's unfortunate that the public is only starting to recognize this. I blame the system for this.

Well, Kessler was on my personal top ten p4p a week ago. And, he's still top 15 even now. Hide and watch. Kessler will be back.

Taylor had all of the Middleweight titles and was in the top 5 of any and every p4p list for the past year. I'm just stating that Taylor is a much more defining victory than Kessler.

It's ALREADY been publicized on MORE THAN ONE OCCASION Calzaghe struggles to make weight. It might not LOOK like a struggle to YOU since you looked at a number and assumed it must have been easy but you seem to be sadly mistaken.

Perhaps, but Pavlik has not defended his first belt even once, so what is the comparison?

Boxers ALWAYS struggle to make weight. That's a fact of the life they live.

But, he DID come in 2 pounds underweight. Now that's a fact and not speculation.

No comparison, just pointing out that there are points on both sides of the debate.

I am sick of this BS! Calzaghe is a F'ing BUM!! He only beats up on smaller/One Dimensional Bums. Just like Winky Wright he has great defense but when it came to fighting bigger guys like JT and B-Hop where did his defense go??? B-Hop will F'ing destroy Calzaghe! Calzaghe is a weak puncher NO REASON FOR B-HOP TO STAY IN THE OUTSIDE. I love this!! Everyone doughts B-Hop and then he shuts everyone up. So when this fight is made and B-Hop wins YOU WILL ALL FEEL ******. Calzaghe is just a VERY ACTIVE WEAK PUNCHER!
