Pacquiao should NOT be above Mayweather.

Hopkins is WAY too high for someone fighting ONCE per year.

Wright at 6???? He should be lower tier.

Calzaghe at 10? A guy undefeated for over a decade is WAY TOO LOW, especially under guys like Pavlik, Vazquez and Marquez.

    Juan Manuel TOO HIGH.
What's your basis for Pacquiao not being above Fake Floyd?

It's common knowledge Fake Floyd has tons of crappy wins and gift decisions to his name.

    Aceept it.

    American boxing is dead.

Had Ali or Hagler or Robinson been fighting today you Americans wouldn't even consider Fake Floyd.

The reality is, most of you are upset that an Asian is the best boxer on the planet.

    Based on...

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
    RESUME.
    SPECTACULAR WINS.

And let's not add excuses to the equation. There has been too many and the critics who tried to downgrade Pac has all eaten their word.

    Reality sucks.

But the best boxer in the planet is NOT an American.

This isnt about who was the overall better fighter, we are talking about fighters who were "over the hill" a fighters opponents and results after their fight proves how washed up they were or were not.
How do you not get this??
I don't get it because its an opinion not fact and I do not agree with your opinion.

The 'argument' is, is it not, who's win over a great is more credible? By telling me that Hopkins because he went on to perform better than Eubank after their respective fights proves that Taylor had the harder job is just crazy.

Styles make fights and the Taylor edged out Hopkins in two bore fests, whilst Calzaghe took it to Eubank and Eubank was never the same again in my book.

The original point was that Pavlik should not be ahead of Calzaghe because he beat the man who beat the man because Calzaghe beat the man and has remained Champion ever since yet Taylor managed a few defences and was KO'd. That was the point.

You got the wrong dude. Because I don't play the race card. But interesting that you bring that up with regards to Calzaghe. Thanks for letting your agenda be known.

After Kessler, Calzaghe will have the entire cast of The Contender to choose from.

Again: calzaghe had a whole slew of US championship-calibre fighters from 160 to 175. He stayed in his backyard and fought lesser comp. Period.
I'm not white? So what is your point exactly? Where are the excuses?

P4P is subjective. It's not just who you beat but HOW you beat them.

So, I've always accepted the criticisms of JT, and conversely, I will support 'bigging up' Pavlik.

so (shockingly) I agree with you, WH.

Dios, how do you explain that the first serious negotiations between Jones and Calzaghe took place in 2006? Jones was already diminished by then. Show us where Jones called out Calzaghe before this time. It may be there, but I didn't find it. Can you find something?

              Sunday, 12 March 2006, 10:42 GMT
              Warren working on Calzaghe-Jones
Joe Calzaghe's promoter Frank Warren has confirmed he is in talks with Roy Jones Jr's camp with a view to making a fight in Cardiff on 8 July.
Former four-weight world champion Jones has already told BBC Sport he would be willing to take the fight.

"If we can agree terms, I'd make the fight in a heartbeat," Warren told BBC Radio Five Live. "I've been speaking to Jones' lawyer for about a month now.

"It depends on what sort of money the US TV networks put up for the fight."
Coyote shows facts for once, and they are in support of my argument, ha! Who would have thought......

                • I remember Calzaghe calling out Jones back in the day after every fight on post-fight interviews. He was also talking alot about coming to the U.S.

Never happened. He has said that he would be willing to come to america for Hopkins or Taylor yet Frank Warren after all that bull**** still offered Taylor money to come to Whales. The first offer was a insult. I think he offered 4 million to Taylor which was less then he made for fighting Winky Wright.

                    1) For the longest while, Jones did not need calzaghe. RJJ was p4p ranked, "undefeated", and had negotiating leverage. Why the fuqq would he "call out" some mildly obscure Euro champion?

                    2) Funny how the issue is now Jones not calling out JC. When Vince called out Tszyu repeatedly, you said that KT had no obligation to fight him.

                    3) As the "lesser" fighter, wasn't the burden on JC to make concessions or to pursue a fight? Much like Hatton has done? Or like PBF did vs DLH?
