List makes no sense and I'll tell you why.

Pacquiao should NOT be above Mayweather.

Hopkins is WAY too high for someone fighting ONCE per year.

Wright at 6???? He should be lower tier.

Calzaghe at 10? A guy undefeated for over a decade is WAY TOO LOW, especially under guys like Pavlik, Vazquez and Marquez.

      Juan Manuel TOO HIGH.

I agree with the top ten fighters but cannot understand some of the positioning.

Mayweather has to be number 1 surely, and how can Pavlik come ahead of Calzaghe???

It's a good list for a couple of reasons: 1. Pacquiaou is truly deserving of the #1 spot considering the quality of competition. The article goes into this sufficiently. 2. The article well justifies Hatton's placement at #5 in part by beating "the legendary" Kostya Tszyu. He is exactly right about this.

The list falls short only in that it lists Bernard Hopkins in the top ten. Hopkins is not what he used to be. Defensive skills only should not place you above younger extremely potent fighters. Take out Hopkins and move Cotto in.

The top spot can go either way. It can go to Floyd for obvious reasons, and it can also go to Pac for obvious reasons. People are complaining that both Barrera and Morales were over the hill. If that's so, what are Floyd's last 2 opponents (Oscar, and Baldomir), prime? These are 2 great Mexican legends that are also HOF bound, and Pac ran through them as if they were nothing.

Floyd, while technically brilliant, doesnt utilize his skills to its full potential. But hey, it has been working for him up until now. The only thing that i think puts Pac at number 1 instead of Floyd, is the manner in which Pac beats his opponents. He does it in a more convincing way. Floyd is satisfied by just outpointing you. Pac actually tries to go in and dismantle you. With that said, i dont have a problem with someone who has Floyd at number 1 either. If Floyd whoops Hatton in thier upcoming match, then the #1spot will without a doubt be his with an exclamation point at the end, but as of right now, it would probably be safe to say that they are both tied for first.

Let's call it what it is on CalSlappy. The guy has fought NOBODY.

Jermain Taylor is 2-1-1 vs Hopkins, Winky and Pavlik. I would rather be 2-1-1 than 0-0-0 against those guys.

I don't agree with how high Winky Wright is placed up there and how low Miguel Cotto is.. I also don't agree with Joe Calzaghe being so low and even more so Kelly Pavlik who basically cleaned out any hyped up competition back to back.. I also feel Israel Vasquez and Rafael Marquez are too high up, there are guys beneath them who won recently and his biggest reason for putting them where they at is their fights with eachother, they shouldn't be back to back there should at least be some distance keep Vasquez higher due to him winning, Marquez gets knocked out and he's right behind his conqueror but Taylor who was Middleweight Champion of the world loses once to Pavlik and he falls 5 spots behind, that doesn't add up to me.. Pacquiao should be number 2 because his win over Barrera doesn't negate the fight with Floyd VS Oscar and especially the one Floyd is engaging in in Dec. 8th, Pac is a beast but I don't put him at number 1 yet until I see Floyd lose his touch.. everything else I can't argue much about accept Juan Manuel Marquez being so high up, he should get past Juarez and rematch Pacquiao before he reaches top 5.. 100

Pavlik has KO'd a top, proven champion. Calzaghe hasn't been anywhere near a guy with Jermain's credentials.
