Since you don't know the answer, I'll tell you: Ray was a winning fighter. Ray wanted to win fights. So he adapted and fought the style that maximized his chances of winning. The first Duran fight was a mistake. One he corrected in the rematch.

Floyd is that same type of fighter. If you put a guy his size that he can muscle, he will become a hunter. If he has some bigger, iron-chinned guy in front of him, he will move/box to a decision.
