Yeah.. I'd be afraid of the 140 pounder, I'd rather fight the equally (and in my opinion, better) skilled fighters at 147 and 160 (Both at a lower weight then they probably should have been by that time.)Comment

His early career hand problems were very bad. His hands were very brittle. He credits rafael garcia with helping his hands, and he switched to a new brand of gloves. But at 147, they use bigger gloves.Comment

Beating a prime Tszyu will always be A MILLION TIMES better than beating the balding businessman version of Dela Hoya.I wanted to get the board's opinion on an often-debated topic.
Wiley Hyena is a big Kostya Tszyu fan. He said this today:
"IMO Hatton's win over Tszyu is a greater accomplishment than any single fight on Floyd's resume."
I will respect that is HIS opinion.
But I wanted to ask the board for their HONEST opinions, and ask you to vote above.
Which is the greater accomplishment (i.e Which is the tougher fight for a JWW fighter)
36 year old (2005) Kostya Tszyu @ 140 pounds, or
34 year old (2007) Oscar Delahoya @ 154 pounds?
Tszyu had beaten contenders just before the Hatton fight. Delahoya lost to Mosley twice, Sturm, Hopkins just before the Floyd fight.
The Mayorga win dont mean squat.
And besides lotsa people thought DLH beat Floyd. Nobody thought KT beat Hatton.
Two ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ACHIEVEMENTS (if you would call Floyd running from an old man an achievement), only Floyd nuthuggers would even claim to use the two victories in the same breath.Last edited by joepal; 10-19-2007, 10:34 PM.Comment

If Tszyu was prime, why hasn't he fought again?Beating a prime Tszyu will always be A MILLION TIMES better than beating the balding businessman version of Dela Hoya.
