That is the whole damn point. TSZYU WAS NOT GREAT AT 36.
Listen to yourself. You conveniently leave out the fact that Hatton was beating Tszyu from pillar-to-post. You are dangerously saying that the fresh Tszyu in the first round was EXACTLY the same as the psychologically and physically battered Tszyu in the last round.

Grasping at straws here, aren't we? Well, you chose that for yourself when you decided to be a Floyd nuthugger. Good luck chasing white elephants.

Oscar didn't come off ****? Except the unbelievable destruction of Mayorga. The point actually is that Oscar at 154 (coming off that unbelievable Mayorga KO) is tougher for a boxer to beat than 140 pound Kostya (coming off an unbelievable Mitchell KO). Two divisions higher and still fighting (and not quiting on his stool).

Didn't he "let himself be stripped" to move up and fight Pernell Whitaker for the WW title? The same Pernell Whitaker who is considered by many to be among the top fighters in the past 20 years?
Hell, ATG. Top 20 All time.

A Pernell Whitaker who, in his day, would have boxed Kostya Tszyu up like a Christmas present.

Again, you seem to have distorted reality. The Hatton-Tszyu fight was close. Kostya simply gave up.

If he didn't let himself be stripped, then what do you call it? Hell, if were Oscar I would have definitely chosen to fight an aging Whitaker, rather than a prime Tszyu. My god. Oscar fights Whitaker and may lose a decision if he's not prepared. Oscar fights Tszyu and could very well have been knocked the **** out!

You know it, I know it and, judging by his obvious avoidance of the quesiton, Wiley knows it too.

You seem to be putting Tszyu up on this pedestal. A pedastal that he would probably have quit on if he was in a tough fight.

I said a 34 year old 154 pound Oscar De La Hoya, compared to a slightly faded 36 year old 140 pound Kostya Tszyu.. It's pretty simple I thought. As to how what I post matters. It lets you know the fighters you're choosing between.
Here is the threadstarter's exact words in describing his question:

I wanted to get the board's opinion on an often-debated topic.

Wiley Hyena is a big Kostya Tszyu fan. He said this today:

"IMO Hatton's win over Tszyu is a greater accomplishment than any single fight on Floyd's resume."

I will respect that is HIS opinion.

But I wanted to ask the board for their HONEST opinions, and ask you to vote above.

Do you agree with Wiley? Yes or No.

That's where he got the idea or premise of the question, not what I was lead to believe the question was TRULY based on.

Way to go to detract from that victory of Hatton. So Hatton did nothing, KT just said to hell with it.
