2001 awarded WBC jr. ww because Oscar De La Hoya was stripped (ODH moved up and out rather than defend the belt). Ahem...
You dont even know your heros record !

KT won his first the IBF from Jake the Snake who won it from Charles Murry , then he lost the title to Phillips then he won a vacant belt from Gonzales , then Sharmba , then got the IBF back from Judah who won the vacant belt from Jan Bergman , its no hard road full of stars .

Like I said its not the belts but who you beat , the guys Floyd has beaten are far better than KTs opponents where , and Floyd is now going to beat Hatton ,,, lets see this thread Dec 9

Hey dip****.....he was wanting to know how Tszyu unified the belts. And that is how he unified the belts. You're getting petty, man.

          good one genius
I dont know about that one...Roger was a great fighter, but 34 is fairly old in boxing, and Roger did NOT have an easy career. He had already taken a ton of punishment, and by the time Kostya fought him, he was most certainly at the end of his career...
not to mention, Pernell was only in his 13th or something fight, and was actually really knocking Roger around the ring at points in that fight, Roger was really hurt at times. and this was a much better version of Roger, imo. just thought Id throw that out there.

but in Tszyu's defence, I would not say he was in his prime as of yet. and the Vince Phillips fight, I thought he underestimated him. I think every fighter deserves a freebie, cause even if youre a great fighter, sometimes you cant win them all.

Im pretty amazed that everyone thinks that Tszyu would actually stop Mayweather. If there was a way Tszyu would win, I would have said decision, because a decision is NOT out of the question.
I think this would be a very, very tough fight, but I think Mayweather would pull through. Kostya had outstanding timing and one of the best 140lbers of all time, but I think the speed would be a major problem, and Mayweather also tended to 'figure out' his opponents. so I think he would take it in the end.

Good post. We disagree as to who would have won, in all probability. But, overall that was a generally well rounded and fair post.

The fact is that ODH was stripped and the belt was awarded to Tszyu. You can interpret that any way you want to. No foggy glasses here. I was there. And, I'm probably at least as old as you are, son.

Tszyu took 60 seconds to KO Judah, Floyd couldnt do it in 60 years. Tszyu by obvious KO.

And Swee Pea definitely would have made Tszyu his *****, just like DLH would have..
