Is gerry Penalosa getting undeserved attention for his KO of Gonzales?

He wasn't getting starched or anything. The fight wasn't a shut out. He didn't land some home run punch with his eyes closed after losing every second of every round...

It's an impressive victory regardless of the fact that he was down on the cards. Gonzales was a bigger opponent and was favored to win going away if I remember right. This should certainly lead to GP receiving more opportunities against reputable opponents in my opinion.

I thought it was pretty close to a shutout... Penalosa acted like a stalker in that fight, but he didn't throw very many punches. Gonzalez just sat back and jabbed his ass over and over. I mean, Gonzalez wasn't winning those rounds by a huge margin, but I thought he was winning nearly every round convincingly.

For real though... I thought Gonzalez was going to win a wide UD until that body shot.

Lucky or not, Penalosa KNOCK HIM OUT and he should get credit for it.

aND in my opinion, ThAT Wasn't a lucky shot. If you watch throughout the fight, you could see that PenaLOSa threw that body shot many times before he knocked him out. It was just a perfect punch at a perfect time.
Arce was also getting his ass whooped by a BUM until he landed a bodyshot that KOed his opponent. I don't see any of you Mexicans saying he was just lucky.

Kelly Pavlik beat taylor in a similar way and he's being hyped as the second coming of god, i think gerry deserves credit for pulling it off.
