BECAUSE BOXING HAS BEEN DYING ON ITS ARSE.
Mainly due to Champs not fighting the best competition.
Also the Americans have nobody else as their face of boxing.
    No Heavy weight Champ either.
    Who is left ??
    Pavlik
    Hopkins
    Mayweather.

Pavlik has made a good start let's hope he keeps it up by fighting legitimate contenders.

ima start thread ******* any kostya/mayweather thread from now on, and if the thread continues to get big, ima start spamming it by talking about my favorite RPG's

to be honest, final fantasy 12 is my favorite one because i really enjoy the story, its not in the same vain as the other ones where the theme is mostly about saving the world from some force thats bent on evil and destruction. in this case you have political intrigue right from the start as one of the main characters is accused of murdering his own king, and the imperial army having a divide within its own ranks as well as the divide between the senate and king.

While on one hand you sacrafice character development, but you gain alot in overall story. i definately have a problem with the pacing of the story, as sometimes wandering through area after area can be frustrating as your waiting for the next story bit, however, the gameplay and newly implemented gambit system make it somewhat worthwhile. there are many areas to explore also.

My favorite characters are easily Judge Gabranth and Basch, i enjoy their interraction even if there is actually very little of it. Their past connections to each other make it very intruiging anytime the two of them are on screen.

i will show you my favorite scenes with them on youtube, because this thread is ****ING ******.

Exactly Kayjay, he found some facts that Zoo was interested, just like Dios presented facts that Floyd was interested. Point is that the fight wasn't made and I think it's because Zoo lost to Hatton. Floyd is new to the division at the time and he is not the P4P #1 fighter at the time. He had to pay his dues by fighting in eliminators to recieve a credible belt and make his stock rise at the same time which could potentially had setup a megafight between him and Zoo. But unfortunately, the stars didn't line up that way and Hatton the new world champ felt like he wasn't ready to fight Floyd at the time. History was written, enough said.

HOW ABOUT THE 43-0 HATTON? HOW ABOUT WINKY WHO HAD NOT LOST IN FOREVER? OR PAC WHO KO'S EVERYBODY? Or Taylor who was a likeable, humble, undeafeated Olympian?

There were a bunch of guys who could have been voted number 1 p4p. It just seems odd to me that the most undeserving guy - who happens to be the biggest prick - would be the one all the experts support. That is counter-intuitive.

Trinidad has been p4p. And so has JCC. I don't believe the media just wanted to vote an American.

You know in all honesty i think the patriots are alot like the 49ers of old. The 49ers had an outstanding quarterback a unstoppable deep threat and a great defense. Right now what your seeing is basically a team that is practically unstoppable on either end. When the defense falters like it did against dallas breifly, you saw tom brady step up and show why if he ever got a deep threat like he does now, then hes extremely dangerous.

Dallas was supposed to be the best team the NFC had to offer and they made them look bad on defense. The only teams that are even gonna come close to stopping them are possibly the steelers and the colts.

I don't know how you pat Pavlik on the back already. He didn't even defend his title against Taylor, he was the challenger, which means he had nothing to lose in that fight. If anyone should be given credit for making that fight, it is Taylor.

Anyways, the heavyweight division is ****, no doubt about it.

Mayweather is making a good start by defending his 147 title against the 140 Ring champion who is undefeated in Ricky Hatton.

Cotto is defending against Mosley, which takes balls.

Williams might be fighting Cintron... a unification between the two less known champions.

                Calzaghe is unifying against Kessler.

Hopkins just fought Winky Wright... 2 of the very best unconventional fighters out there.

There have been plenty of great fights made, but like I said, you are a pessimist, which is why you ignore the majority of them.

IF THERE IS NO AMERICAN MARKET THEN BOXING DIES.
Sad to say that but it would be true.
It wouldn't die Completely but there would never be the same purses again.

Listen ****wit you are putting words in my mouth.
I HAVE SAID that there are great fights coming up.
BUT IN RECENT HISTORY the majority of fights have been ****ing garbage with old men hanging on and "Champs" cherry picking fighters.
We are in a little bit of a resurgence right now which is good and if it carry's on like that even better.
Pavlik has just fought 2 very tough opponents and so I was crediting him for not continuing to feast on bums.
But you cannot deny that in recent history we have been fed some serious **** and top fighters have avoided each other no matter who was to blame.
There is a simple Recipe for Boxing to be successful and that is to have the top fighters fighting each other on a REGULAR basis.
That isn't pessimistic I am Optimistic that the sport continues in this fashion.
But who wants to see Trinidad Vs RJJ?
                    Or Holyfield Vs Anybody?
                    Or Mcbride Vs Golota?
Or Valuev Vs Some obscure Canadian
                    Or John Ruiz vs Anyone??
                    ETC ETC ETC

                      Moofo,

You are doing it again. The guy said that you are pessimistic. And you go into rabid pitbull attack mode.

He is a "****wit" because he has a different opinion or a different interpretation of what you said? Huh?
