First off, out of the 5 so called bums you mentioned, two of them were current or former world champions at the time floyd defeated them.
When he defeated Gatti, Gatti came off victories over the undefeated former lightweight champ Dorin and put him into retirement.
Chop Chop Corley a bum????? He is a former WBO jr.welterweight champ. He lost that title by split decision vs Judah. He hurt Cotto real bad before he lost.
Not a bum
N'dou - not a great but a solid lightweight contender. He had 31 victories, 30 by ko and only 1 loss. Floyd went toe to toe with him...nuff said.
Bruseles...whatever, could be a bum or not. Fact is the WBC appointed him to fight Floyd in a WBC eliminator with the winner becoming a mandatory for Gatti's title. Blame the WBC
Sosa - 35-2...nothing else to it. A bum my definition would have lost far more then that against other bums....this guy won against most of his bums padding a nice lil 35-2 record which means he is above Bum status.
There goes your bum theory. Thread closed
