Let's examine this case study. Pinoys, get your pencils ready because you'll need to take notes if you want to stay on track, and stick with the facts.

    Height

    Pacquiao- Nearly 5'7"
    Diaz- 5'6"

    Weight in most recent fights

Pacquiao came in at 144lbs on the evening of Saturday, October 6th against Marco Antonio Barrera in a rematch.

Juan Diaz came in at 143lbs on the evening of Saturday, October 13th against Julio Diaz in a unification bout.

1 week apart from each other, Pac-144lbs Diaz-143lbs.

Now that Diaz has beaten Julio in impressive fashion, Pac fans seem to have gone back on their original word about where Manny belongs when it comes to matters of weight.

    News article from 10/11/07

Yet Pac fans have this to say about Pac's supposed move up to 135lbs....

These are just 2 of many examples of posts from pinoy users here about Pac moving up to 135lbs. Prior to the Diaz fight, they were all about him moving up to fight Diaz....David Diaz that is. A pushover, paper Champion who got spanked by Morales and got a bull**** hometown decision.

A move to 135lbs? To fight David Diaz for his belt? Go PAC!!!! What? Move to 135lbs to face Juan Diaz? All of a sudden Pac is incapable of making 135lbs........

This is not a hate thread. I'm simply pointing out the double standard/hypocrisy certain pinoy users are using in Pacquiao's defense now that Diaz has called out Pacquiao yet again.

I think it will look better for Juan to drop to 130lbs and spank Pacquiao in his "own" weight class anyway. Just pointing out the absurdity of certain members and how quickly they change what they say.
That was a complete lie. I for one have not entertained the idea of Pac moving up to 135 at all even against the lesser David Diaz. I've maintained that Pac has to go for a belt and possibly clean up the 130 division first before moving up north. This is as a Pacquiao fan, I want him to solidify his boxing legacy. I even mentioned that JMM and Guzman are the fights I've wanted to see.

What the heck's wrong with you dude - spreading lies 'round here? That's pathetic....and I thought you were cool.

I wasn't spreading lies, I was pointing out how quickly certain posters changed their M.O. in regards to a move to 135lbs for Pacquiao. As I said, I don't expect him to move up right now, he can take a fight against Valero and even the Guzman-Soto winner first. Or a rematch with Marquez even though I think negotiating with Nacho is like haggling with a penny pincher.

Eventually I would like to see him move up for Diaz. If I've misquoted you then I appologize.

          Pac will beat Jan Diaz.
Pac can match Juan's power, agressiveness and stamina, but Pac is faster of the two.

Pac wants to cleanup 130 first before moving up to 135, that's what people wants.
If Juan can't wait, he can move down to 130...

I agree. I'm not calling for the fight a.s.a.p or anything. In a perfect world I'd prefer Pacquiao to beat Valero and the winner of Soto-Guzman while Diaz would completely unify against David Diaz and Joel Casamayor.

Can you imagine how big the fight would be then?

Pac-Juan Diaz would be a great fight, but JMM, Soto, Valero and Guzman could be very tough challenges for Pacman in 130 for him to clean it up, a loss from any of those 4 could make a Juan Diaz fight unlikely to happen. But I'm seeing Juan Diaz winning easily against David Diaz and Casamayor.

Just wanted to to clarify my quote in your post. Apology accepted. We're cool now.

I've heard in Pacland that if Manny had his ways, he wanted to take on Valero because he took MAB's and Valero's challenge a lil personal and he didn't appreciate MAB's comment regarding Valero beating him (Pacquiao) during their post-fight presscon.
