Put Juan Diaz on the Pound 4 Pound list!

Pavlik has 2 wins of any note. A weight drained and vastly overrated Miranda and an overrated champion in his own right; Taylor. It also depends how one puts together their p4p list. They're always strictly opinion and people try to do a mesh of both talent and record and often times negelect one or the other quickly.Comment

I'd like to see him fight Casamayor. Yeah, yeah, I know.... Casa's shot, he's not the same, blah, blah. But so far, Diaz has been fed sluggers. I'd like to see how Juan will do against an old crafty vet in Casamayor.
Juan impressed me tonight. I though Julio would give it a good go, but he was friggin' dominated.
As far as the thread topic goes. I wouldn't yet put him up in the Top ten P4P list. He simply doesn't belong there yet. He fought two solid contenders in a row and looked great. '
He may have to jump to 140lbs to get a crack at the Top Ten P4P. If he were to fight and beat PAC, everyone including myself will just say he was simply too big.Last edited by We want Floyd; 10-14-2007, 12:31 AM.Comment

Weight drained? How do you figure that? I guess Taylor and Pavlik were both 'weight drained' also, right? Point is he made the weight. If Miranda was coming in 15-20 lbs over weight then he would be weight-drained. But he wasn't...so there goes your off base theory.Pavlik has 2 wins of any note. And he beat the man of the division, the lineal champ.Comment

I don't like Miranda and I don't defend him... but look at any of his fights before Pavlik and tell me that's the same fighter. I'm not even suggesting that if Miranda had been 100% if he'd beat him (he probably wouldn't). And the point isn't that he made weight... Beating a fighter by knockout might look a lot nicer, but it's no different than winning a UD in the p4p rankings. A win is simply a win.Weight drained? How do you figure that? Look man, Miranda wasn't fighting Eastman. He was fighting a 6'2'' monster. For the first time in his career he had to look up to someone. And he fought a guy who brought it.I don't like Miranda and I don't defend him... but look at any of his fights before Pavlik and tell me that's the same fighter. And either way...
Pavlik beat the man at MW. Juan didn't do so.Comment

Miranda did look weight drained. His punches lacked any pop them and i was one of these people that though Miranda would lose soon. He lost even sooner, in his next fight.Weight drained?
