If anything; there will be some fallout from May 5th.

And of course Hatton is not De La Hoya..

It's sad too because this fight could be a classic.
I was thinking the same thing. With Mayweather doing the Dancing With The Stars thing, you think this will create enough interest in the casual viewer to wanna watch his fight? I think so considering how popular DWTS is. Mayweather's being exposed to a whole new audience & this fight could put boxing back in the main stream I think because of it.

sorry but you mayweather fans need a reality check. your fighter is not popular. he couldnt sell out a fight without a big name. no one was at the baldomir fight. people show up to see mayweather opponents not mayweather. there will be more british fans than americans when he fights hatton. boxing fans with any common sense dont support a cowardly fighter. i would not waste my money to see him run laps.

Out of 300 million Americans I wonder how many fans he has?

Once again you're showing ignorance to the topic. First, I'm not a fan of Mayweather. Second, if your noncomprehending ass would read the thread instead of seeing Mayweather's name & you go into hate mode assuming ****. This is a discussion of the significance of the fight & if it could surpass the DLH fight. If you can't stay on topic then get out of the thread.

In all fairness, let's wait until Mayweather-Hatton 24/7.

I believe that 24/7 was the vehicle that leapfrogged "The World Awaits" into the stratosphere.

If Ricky can convince the public that he has a very good chance, and/or if Mayweather can further polarize (yes, that's his intent) the public, then this fight will do ridiculous nums.

                Viva,

You wishing it doesn't make it true. What you just said was an outright LIE.

The PBF-Baldomir fight had good attendance and very solid PPV sales.

Mayweather-Baldomir outsold Barrera-Juarez, Barrera-marquez, Hopkins-Wright, Cotto-Judah, and sold as much as any of the varrera-Morales fights.

                      No, he's not.

Malignaggi is fast. Hatton is not.
