I dont like or dislike Mayweather but he does get on my nerves sometimes always ****ing his gums about this and that ,one thing is for sure he is at the forefront of everybodys conversations wether it be negative or positive so in a strange way i think he is a good figure to promote Boxing as a sport cause he makes that much noise where ever he goes you cant fail to find out what hes done or said next ,

just look how man threads are didicated to Mayweather wether it be slagging him off or Nuthugging him

Even though De La Hoya and Hatton both suck (slow white boyz that Pretty Floyd brutalizes for fun)
Pretty Boy didn't do much brutalising of De La Hoya considering he eked out a split decision. PS you're a racist piece of **** and you should rethink your life.

Addison has a point. How do you define a big fight? By PPV numbers? If you're talking about PPV sales in the US then De La Hoya would do better, he's a superstar and always has been. Not to mention that this fight was very heavily promoted. In terms of significance to boxing, well this is a superfight between two undefeated major names, one from Britain and one from the United States, so I would call this a more significant fight. Whatever happens this is going to be a huge fight, with significance on both sides of the atlantic.

I think of it this way.
Floyd V Hatton is a bigger fight for true Boxing fans because we get to see the 2 touted best in the 140 & 147 divisions face each other.
And both are young and in their respective prime.
Floyd V Oscar was for the casual fans and the american market.
No true Boxing fan can say they looked forward to Oscar V Floyd more than Floyd V Hatton.

No fight will reach that level of media attention and ppv buys for a long time, I think.

No way! De la Hoya Is the bigger star and he's bigger and better, The way I look at it, if Hatton had allot of problems with Collazo what do you think is going to happen when he fights Floyd?

this is a very ****** question. the fight with dlh was bigger because dlh was involved. he is a big name in boxing. mayweather is a nobody. he couldnt get the fans to watch him because he is a boring fighter. and hatton is not that well known here in mexico but he is a very famous guy in his country.
