I read in a couple of interviews/articles on boxing sites that PDL said his gonna KO Penalosa before they fought.

Penalosa better just fight Arce and leave Ponce De Leon alone. With the chip that's on Daniel's shoulder about the first fight, coupled with youth, speed and power all on his side, Penalosa would need a medic just to make it out of the ring.

Well, here's a dose of reality. PDL couldn't lay a finger on the 35year old bum. in fact the youthful, most powerful PDL ended up runnning. And Jhonny "I can't spell" Gonzalez ended up getting ko'd! Just who exactly is the bum(s) in all this? The 35 year old, past his prime, undersized Gerry Penalosa or the much bigger, powerful, alot younger PDL or is it Gonzalez, who was suppose to run circles and box the hell out of the old man?

I honestly think that Ponce de Leon would win a rematch with Peñalosa again. It'd probably be another decision win 'cause of Gerry's tough chin and defense, but without being controversial like the first fight. He DOES have something to prove in a rematch I think.

And say what you will, but everyone saw the fight, Gonzalez was boxing very well and winning rounds against Gerry until that perfectly-placed body shot. Props to Peñalosa for landing it, but I also think Jhonny (he spells it like that 'cause that's the way his parents spelled it on his birth certificate) would win the rematch. I don't know if it would be at 118 again though, because of Jhonny's struggle to make the weight.
