Why won't Pacquiao move to Welterweight?

Couple things I want to touch on.

A.) This was a joke thread. I do want to see Pacquiao move up in weight but Welterweight would be suicide. I just made this thread because I keep seeing Pac fans saying Pacquiao can't carry that kind of weight, or that Pacquiao could murder Mayweather. So I veiled some sarcasm and made this thread.

He just weighed in at 144lbs on Saturday night against Barrera, Welterweight is 3lbs north of that with much better competition including Mosley, De La Hoya, Mayweather, Hatton(if he stays there), Cotto, Cintron, and Williams.

I post this question because I keep reading Pacquiao fans saying Pac would annihilate Mayweather, if so, why not move up?

The only real fights left in his division is a Marquez rematch, and a war with Katsidis. Guzman is an overrated hype job who will get KTFO when he steps up in competition like Rey Bautista did, and he hasn't even earned a shot at Manny.

So why not just move up? The competition is there, the fights are there, and if he wants to be considered an all time great, his legacy requires it.

LOL ... why move up when its so much easier to make your opponents dehydrate for their biggest payday? Pacquiao is finally moving up to 147lbs.

LOL ... Juan Manuel Marquez. Its the first time that Pacquiao can make his opponent move up for his advantage instead of dehydrating an opponent for his advantage.

Seriously, how many sound bites do we have of Pacquiao and Roach referring to the word "advantage"? I'm sure some forum members can make a Youtube clip of Pacquiao and Roach constantly discussing "weight advantages" at different points in time.

I'm not sure why people are acting these guys were all fought in the same year this thread was made.

If I say Alvarez will slaughter Martinez this year, then 4 years, a few beatings and plenty of decline later, Alvarez beats Martinez, it's not really a propechy.

Similar kind of thing applys for the likes of Mosley and Margarito.

Amusing reading posts like this. Now that he has done, it's almost like it's nothing special anymore.

But this is the whole point about the accusations. Most thought that with his style and size, he could never do it, and yet he did.

I guess most people have not reconized that PAC has change/developed his style and approach from back then to now?
