Mayweather will be remembered, as of RIGHT NOW(he could turn things around in a hurry as he is still pretty young) , as a negative influence on boxing regardless of his record. Pac is a positive, he will be remembered for bringing the Philipines into the world of mainstream boxing.Comment

If Floyd beats Hatton his resume will undoubtedly be better. Until then, that's the only edge Pacman has. Of course that can all change if Manny can make a statement at 135.
Damn, come to think of it a fight between the two is actually somewhat possible now. I think Floyd toys with him, but the idea of 1 vs. 2 is interesting.Comment

So you think Hatton is to his division what EM and MAB was to theirs?Comment

I think Floyd's win over an undefeated P4P top 5 Diego Corrales is better than any victory of Pacquiao's up to this point. The first Barrera win for Pacquiao was very good, but isn't as good IMO. Jones and Morales had already shown Pacquiao that Barrera could be beaten. Corrales had been destroying everyone at 130.
Morales
Barrera
vs.
Corrales
Castillo
De La Hoya
I'll go with option B.Comment

you kno, the only real problem with Pacqiao's record is that his two biggest wins, Morales and Barrera, both were at the immediate end of their careers and were coming off of loses.
Barrera coming off a loss is debatable...the Marquez fight was extremely close. however, Barrera had been counting down the fights to his retirement for a while. dont give me this 'Pacquiao made Barrera retire' kind of thing...Barrera had been planning it for a long time, and theres no way that Barrera got beat up enough in that fight for him to retire from it anyway...not even close.
Morales on the other hand was coming off a bad loss to Zahir Raheem. not much else needs to be said there. plus theres that loss of Pacquiaos from EM, and Morales was coming off the loss to Barrera. so that kind of downplays Pacquiaos wins over him...
but the shining gem of Pacquiao's career is the 1st Barrera fight...that will ALWAYS be his greatest win. thats equivilant to Floyds fight with Corrales and then some.Comment
