lest he stepped it up to make a fight against say Heanrs or Leonard. Or maybe Duran.

And if he won at that. Or least made a good showing.

I respect your opinion. But you DO try to bait me. Read your posts above. I just never take the bait. Just for the record.

Anyway, I give PBF a pass on his cautious fight style because he is fighting much bigger men. It is curious that I NEVER heard this "runner" rep pre-baldomir. Why would that be?

In my mind, it is the lesser of two evils.
      a) floyd stay down at 135/140 dominating iffy competition
      b) floyd fight at 147/154 and be on the razor's edge.

Guys like Sechew Powell or Cornelius Bundrage? I KILL those guys. If you have size, reach and power, then I EXPECT you to be a hunter. Especially K9. He is the best example of "Looks like Tarzan. Fights like Jane."

But in no way do I expect PBF to be trading when he is fighting two or three divisions above where he should. Nor did I expect SRL to be trading with MMH. Smart fighters don't fight the OTHER guy's fight.

I'm actually OK with the guys who question what PBF's fight style is, or call him "boring". It allows me to discern which fans are new to the sport.

Then explain the success of guys like Macho and Pernell.

It doesn't matter if I saw it or not. Everything I said above remains the same regardless.

stop trying to divert the subject from relevant subject matter. You cannot dispute what are the obvious points I made.

Seriously, I don't. I call you out occassionaly, but I don't try to "out-knowledge" or out smart you cos you know more about the sport than I do.

However, if I think I have a point I will defend it, but am more than prepared to accept some elses view if they convince me.

I suppose when it comes to matters of Hatton Floyd I use you as a first point of contact cos you use reason and give examples, not cos I'm trying to bait you, ok.

It does matter. I can't have a discussion about a fight with a guy who has not seen it.

Sugar ray Leonard's legacy is built on primarily three fights: Hearns, Duran 2, and hagler.

Vs. Hearns, he was being outboxed and had to turn into the hunter ("you're blowing it kid, you're blowing it!!")

vs. Duran 2, and vs. hagler, he was on his bike fro 100% of those fights.

Now, did you see SRL-Duran 2? Or not? Your evasiveness makes me think you didn't.

I would like Floyd more if he was actually humble. I have never been a fan of anyone who talks themselves up and talks as much trash as Floyd does. Which sucks, cause Floyd is a great fighter. I dont care about who he hangs out with, what cars he drives, or how many hoes he has. It's true he would be more fun to watch if he actually stood and brawled some more, but he can win without being very exciting so why change his style now? A win is a win I suppose, but he clearly has the talent to close the show on alot of people he just pot shots to a one sided UD.

The thread was no criticism of your "main man", just a query of how people may like him to improve.
