I wasn't saying you said they dominated, I was restating that point. Because it's important. Anyone can see their are popular white fighters. Wow.. Lets start a thread about that! That's important!

I stated in this thread, that it wasn't about color, that it was more about upbringing!

Stop argueing now please. You are shooting yourself in the foot for no reason at all!

Yeah, I spend HUNDREDS, run my kids all over the country to support their hobbies, and coach instead of just using a patchwork ball! Excuse me, "makeshift ball" to quote you!

I live in NYC and most of the boxing gyms I use to visit to either train or watch boxers are closed now. All of the PAL's and Boys Club of America's gyms that use to offer boxing are either closed or no longer offer boxing classes. The few boxing gyms that are open cater to white-collar workers that can afford paying $125 +/month to train. I recently called Gleasons gym to find out about training and was told there is a monthy fee to use the facilities plus the trainer's fees (each trainer defermines his price). After calculating the cost to train at Gleason's with a trainer it would have been around $130/month providing I got a trainer that didn't charge too much per lesson. The only way an inner city youth with an interest in boxing is able to pursue a career as a boxer is if he has connections to a trainer that will train him for free or a cheap rate. This doesn't happen too often unless the trainer is the kid's father, another relative, or family friend.

Also these sports are on cable television a lot, and are covered by big networks on a daily basis. You can bet your ass if boxing was on CBS and FOX every Sunday afternoon that kids would be flooding boxing gyms.

I live in New York too. There's a gym out in Freeport(in Long Island) New York that seems good to me. I go there now. A lot of young boxers but experienced trainers and all.

not everyone has the privledge of having an actual ball to play with, i know this may seem rediculous to you, but just take my word for it.

boxing also costs hundreds of dollars, have you ever trained? Well often times you have your gloves, your headgear which you has to fit you, you have to pay the trainer and all types of other gym fees and all kinds of other ****, amatuer tourneys are not free. No matter what sports costs money, period. , training in boxing costs money.
