Watch it again. But, you're right about being imprecise and when they were wrangling around on the inside. That is what I saw.I don't know what everyone else saw, but I didn't see a lot of hooks get in by N'dou. Also... if they did, keep in mind that they probably weren't the most precise punches, considering he had his head buried in Floyd's chest the whole ****ing time he was throwing them... they were probably coming from weird ass angles if they were connecting. I didn't see many of them get through though.
I have just been trying to figure out what Addison's secret is. He says Floyd is made for Hatton and he sees something definite that will develop. I've always said Hatton will have to get inside and break him up brutally with whatever he can land and physically wear Floyd out. Addison sees something more definite and I think he was looking at the N'dou fight.Last edited by Wiley Hyena; 09-29-2007, 01:51 AM.Comment

I think Floyd always tries to pull strait back with the jab, and when people start selling him feints, he get caught. I've never really seen him catch jabs with his right glove, which is what I do, and I don't know why he doesn't do it. Its going to be his downfall as a fighter.
Its mainly been recently that hes been getting caught with the Jab. When he was younger he was quick enough to get out of the way of it.
He would pull strait back, then twist and roll to the right as a precautionary measure in case there was a right hand behind the jab.Comment

It's worth noting that Ndou is a taller fighter. Hatton's inherent reach disadvantage is troubling. He can't plan on doing what Ndou or DLH did.Watch it again. But, you're right about being imprecise and when they were wrangling around on the inside. That is what I saw.

I do NOT believe that Floyd will allow himself to be on the ropes in this fight. If there is ONLY ONE thing he has to remember, it's "stay off the ropes".
Anything in the midle of the ring is hell for Hatton.Comment

Because, IMO, a straight jab is thrown when the fighters are at a distance. Floyd is relaxed and lets his right hand down.
Not to disagree w/Shawn. It's a combination of reasons.
Note how Floyd goes into the shell when he feels like he is under attack...the right guard raises.Last edited by Wiley Hyena; 09-29-2007, 02:00 AM.Comment

I concur. Hattons arms are about as long as Floyds fingers. It's worth noting that Ndou is a taller fighter. Hatton's inherent reach disadvantage is troubling. He can't plan on doing what Ndou or DLH did.

This fight might be closer if Hatton was as big as Floyd, but hes not.Comment

I agree, and that is what I was trying to say in post # 111 above.I think Floyd always tries to pull strait back with the jab, and when people start selling him feints, he get caught. That is , in part, why I think PBF will be susceptible to young lions like P-Dub as he gets older and just a bit slower of fot/body.Comment
